Yes. I mean, look guys... I could tone down the whole "Explain in detail why so-and-so was banned" if anyone feels it is inflammatory. Also, honestly, the whole argument about "People will act like faggots just to go into the Hall of Fame" makes no sense to me, because if we feel someone did that, we can just keep them OUT of the thread completely. They get banned without any of the glory. That is why it can be flexible, we're not governed by rigid rules as to what can go in and what can't. Sorry if I'm pressing the issue a lot, I'm just a little bugged that the thread disappeared with no explanation when we are all actively discussing the matter.
Edit: Just saw Jeff's post. Cool bro.
i think we need a ban registrar

Quote from HewittIf we do anything to hurt Wither's dignity even if it is to give awareness however unnecessary, then we are opening up ourselves to be treated the same way even if our intent is not malicious.
Wait, don't we already poke fun at each other? Most of us are mature enough to realize that it's all in fun, and can accept being made fun of in return.

I just wanted to draw.
I mean.. I agree! We need this!

So I saw that it was most likely Nish's long description of each banned user's story that got it binned. For the record, I would be totally neutral and fair in all my write-ups. Theyd also be fairly short, with a spoiler for more indepth descriptions next to it if it was needed. It would not be a tomato-throwing festival at all

Wait wait, I binned it because of that remark Nish said that that thread would be locked and Devour was gonna make a wiki anyway. What, that decision make the last thread obsolete? That's what I got from it.
I'll bring it back then.
I'll bring it back then.

No I meant the control should be given to just one person, and I nominated Devour for that job too. That thread WAS meant to be Devour's wiki.
Lol total misunderstanding then.
Nish Fail.

You are all wrong that job should be left to me. Because reasons (¬‿¬)

You're the first black person to make a claim for a job that didn't include the words blow or rim in it.
Aug 21, 2014 1:02 PM #1235052
I guess that +10 bonus points for me towards getting the job.
Aug 21, 2014 1:07 PM #1235058
No, it's -10. It's obligatory for niggers to have blow or rim inside the claim.

Can you guys please tone down the arbitrary racism? I know you're joking but we have a target audience believe it or not and it's getting a bit much.
EDIT:
I don't agree with your reasoning here. We make decisions on our own because we run this website and that's our prerogative to do so. It starts from our side. If we're instituting a policy it's discussed at length before hand and we still open everything we do up for discussion with the community. We have altered, added and removed many rules simply because someone spoke up about them while being calm and reasonable. We don't always agree and sometimes things remain unchanged, but we still listen and value the opinions of this community when it comes to how things are run.
In this case, I'm happy that you guys brought this up as a request and made a reasonable argument for it. I brought up my own issues for discussion and it went pretty well. This is how I'd like things to be done because it's open and direct. What I don't appreciate however is that one mod took one action without following up on it (a mistake was made, but he's only human) and suddenly people are jumping to conclusions in this thread and getting angry. I was offline for less than 24 hours and this is what I start my day with. No one waited for an official response. It's not like we're trying to hide anything from you, so I'm disappointed that you think it's not worth discussing because we do what we want.
Most of the time we make a decision for you it's because no one spoke up about it. If I make a thread saying, "I'm thinking about doing X what do you guys think?" And no one responds, I can only assume no one minds. Either way, you still have the ability to discuss decisions even after they are made.
EDIT:
Quote from NishI don't mean to be a dick here and whine. But the only reason a lot of people complain instead of opening things up for discussion is because the decision is often made for us anyway. Like how the Thread got binned with no explanation, while this is all still under discussion.

I think we've already established that it was a 'Nish Fail' (its like a regular fail but MANlier) on my part. I was cranky because it suddenly disappeared in the middle of a conversation about it.
Edit : Yay! Stickied ban register!

No problem, I kinda wanted to respond to it either way for posterity more than anything, because I feel like a few people share the same sentiment so hopefully others read it.

Maybe we should start another Sticky thread for that.

I don't mind people making new threads for it. I don't personally like it when stickied threads start stacking up.
