We've talked about these exact issues that you're bringing it up. The original Thread Keeper was supposed to be Smile actually but he already knew he wouldn't be able to stay dedicated to it.
So who's the most dedicated person in this community ecspcially when it comes to things like Comic Brawl?

That's why we got him to make the thread.
We know the reasons why previous brawl have failed and we tried to think up of ways to fix them. But that's only half the battle I specifcially made the thread open discussion to see how the actual players would feel about it and the input is more than appreciate

(Question though, if double posting isn't a problem, how come you infracted SK for reserving 2 posts that I told him to reserve, I had specific plans for them. And if theres a way to get at least one of those back that'd be greatly appreciated)

Usually in comic brawl I don't really expect there to be a complete ending to everyones storyline. I usually just go off the fact that its dead and inactive to stop playing. But still if we had a real goal maybe it'd be more active.

I do agree each brawl does needs its end, and MOST brawls just die off when their time has come.
That's why we have taken appropriate actions to put an actually story into this brawl. Like legit me and Bali wrote this out, I kept telling him we would eventually have to turn it into a novel cuss it was such a good premise.

And we actually have a, what we like to call, "God Character" which is Veir who speaks for the Order. His main role is to actually push the story along.

I've said it multiple times and ill say it again. All we as the creators did was write out the first chapter of the story for you. It's YOUR job to write the rest.
We are encouraging creative and outside thinking as much as possible in this brawl. Yes this brawl will have an end. But we haven't written it yet.
The brawl ends once the players have wrapped up the story.

How do they wrap it up, well that's for them to figure out.

Hmmm This new Comic Brawl sound fun and interesting I would love to join this :) since I already join some past comic brawls and it make me wish that the story would finish but it just put to extinction but.... I just got a question though will there be a limited numbers of panels(or I would like to call them "Komas") in the art? and will there be a due date or a count down for the correct artist making the scene also about the battle system I just really don't know hmm.. because I'm like in the ranking of good to great(epic) artist and it would be nice if theirs just a limit in art quality just like in some past brawls IDK because I just have the feeling of great artist will just dominate this brawl IDK or did I just miss something? or that's just me :3

The battles actually wouldn't even be based on individual skill. If anything its based on mathematics and who uses their wagered AP better. So in a sense it almost boils down to simply who wagers more AP. And getting AP can only be obtained from comics. SooooOOooooOoOOOOoo. Yeah.

The judging of comics for AP won't be decided based on ones skill but more off utilizing ones style, and effort. Effort is gonna be the thing we harp on in this brawl, so if you are a higher skilled artist if anything you're at a disadvantage because if you slack if it shows pretty harshly.

But yeah during a battle comic there would be a set amount of panels you could use, which would likely be like.... 5. Unless (we just discussed this now, ill get SK to update the thread about it later) you use AP to gain the perk of having additional panels. But there still would be a limit on how many punches and specials and stuff you can use maximum so there wont be one shot kills everywhere.

Hope I answered your question.

Again, I think this whole judging comics by art thing is kind of unfair
That is if I'm understanding what you're saying correctly
What I got out of your statement is that the better you are at art, the better your comics should be so that you're shoeing the maximum level of effort to get the most points? Now you're not discriminating against people who can't really draw, but people who can. It takes a really long time to put in the "usal amount of effort" someone who draws puts into the artwork they share, and it won't take nearly as long for someone who doesn't really usually draw to put in their maximum level of effort. It's unreasonable to expect someone like, for example, virus kid or something(if he was involved in this) to draw every one of the comics he posts here to the absolute best of his ability.

I get what you're saying and I think that just came out wrong.

Yes we want effort but this isn't like a contest or anything. You aren't making masterpieces. All we're trying to avoid is lets say you, Drone, make a decently made comic that you put some actual time and effort into.
And then I reply to it with something I made in 1 minute on MS Paint.

That was kinda an issue the last couple brawls and we want to try to the best of our ability to stop that.

So to answer you question, no we aren't trying to discriminate against an artist for not giving it their all. This is just for fun, or leisure you shouldn't really be trying to make it your best thing ever, but you should still be trying.
What I meant by "it shows pretty harshly" is if you make some half-assed thing in like 5 minutes that'll show a lot harder than someone of a lesser skill level; we'll still be able to spot it though.
So in the end everyone should be treated the same way when it comes to these things.

And at the end of the day these are all just extra features in the brawl that you could COMPLETELY ignore if you aren't interested, even the whole fighting system thing.
We'll still rank you and stuff, but you don't have the pay attention to it if you just came here to make comics.

oh if that's the case I'm in then :) and another thing because I didn't quite understand this part sorry. it's about how will draw 1st will there be some sort of organizes list in the brawl that says how will go 1st then 2nd ect. also will there be a due date or a count down for the correct artist making the scene or is this going to be like the other ones like spam it all at once (of course with effort in the art that is) XD

-What about including damage to another character? Are we allowed to draw a panel with our character hitting/hurting another? Because if we aren't, then most battles will be endless, but if we are, how would it work?
-Also how does tag teaming work with the point system?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm still trying to grasp the concept.

Hi Proxus, I'm not Michael and I'm not trying to do anything but help right now. I believe that we draw ourselves making an attempt on hitting someone? Because we are going to add a caption to the end of our comic that explains what we're doing so that we can post, "Attacked with this" So then the opponent can either decide to take the hit or not in his comic, because from what I read from the posts, we'll only have a selected amount of dodging/blocking, so I just think it's all based on who runs out of dodges and blocks first for the battle to end. Of course that leads to a bunch of other questions like, if i block can i not attack on the same comic and such but I'm sure everything will be brought to light soon I'm sure. Well hoped I helped if any and hope to see you on this.

Thanks Aquila, because from what I understood from previous comic brawls, when one character attacked, the other would almost always evade it or block it, leading to just a series of useless attacks.

well, i think i shouldn't get involve in this thing so called "Comic Brawl", but after seeing what you guys have been through and all, i just thought i should say something lol XD, well i mean, its hard for me to just gaze at what you guys are up to especially if its about art, lol.
any how let me jump right in. Talking about qualities and effort. Well, how could one possibly say that this or that piece of art has effort or MORE effort put into it than the other one? how would you and the "Three Judgers" will judge between the two?
what im saying is, a well knockledged - (the more experienced) artist can just easily pull out a scene less than ten minutes without or as much struggle and it would STILL look pretty descent, in this case, quality work,
but the point is, he's only taking about ten minutes to do it, and perhaps, effortlessly. While on the other hand someone with very limited knowledge and skills in art would struggle through almost every pieces, yet it would even take
him even much longer because of its poor skills base, which it mean, he has to sit there working for hours, but like i said, how would one able define its true dedication behind the mirror, how would you and the three judgers judge between
the two given piece of art base on this theory? would you simply said that the one that was done in 10 minutes but look much better - (quality work) has its name among the crowd or would you say the other way around? and this is my point,
how would you able to tell the difference/quality work between the two, or effort like you said. Tough i must say, I'm not trying to be something or anything at all to be honest, but im saying his because i've seen alot of this type of thing before and this is often
one of the case or should i said, one of the most common known issue to judgers and audiences. (sorryr my for english, its bad LOL XD)...

I am just too confused about everything with this. I'd rather just watch for a while and see how it goes because right now its a jumbled mess.
