For the sake of making this a 'true' debate thread I'll disagree with my fellow members opinions....
I think that we will establish a sort of 'base' on the moon. I read something about it in a science magazine (Yes I read those...sometimes) and it said they were hoping to establish a moon base in the year 2020. We have a somewhat advanced technology...I could see it happening.

Lol, if what Noob says is true, then it's like the cold war space race all over again. Only now the US is Russia...

I hope a space race will start again. That would give me something to do besides lurk around the forums (No offence to stickpage, of course.). I think it will happen, maybe not exactly in 2020 but perhaps later.

I agree that it would be good. A space race would ensure a jolt in the direction of colonization of planets and the future survival of our species.
