Why Avengers 2 Sucks

- Just want to get the stuff-we-might-all-agree-on out of the way:
a) Hulk and Black Widow wtf
b) Iron Man pulling a 9/11 on the Hulk in the middle of Wakanda.
c) Ultron acting nothing like comics Ultron and more of a snarky middle manager from hell. (personally this didnt really bother me as I do not know Ultron or care about him that much.)
d) Ultron being evil for no reason and because of the Internet. More on this later.

Okay here are my pts:

- The Winter Soldier, the movie preceding this one, had Baron von whatever establishing that Hydra is still active in the stinger. He somehow despite their near infiltration of SHIELD (which was outed anyway) from the inside out. They talk about planning vague and new things for the good guys, even showcasing the twins. All this buildup is invalidated within the first 20 minutes of the Avengers 2 when the team obliterates this guy without so much as a struggle.
Minor Nitpick: In The Winter Soldier, Hydra agents are clearly using guns. Why are Baron Strucker's men suddenly using lasers when no time has significantly elapsed in between?

- Nobody in the whole movie seems to be able to describe what exactly does Scarlet Witch do. I know it's hard to portray Chaos Magic like in the comics, but nobody even questions this or how it can be combated or gets into describing what just happened, especially since she wiped their asses with them the first time. Most egregious is that train scene where Cap asks her "Can you stop this train?" like he puts his whole trust in the unknown and Scarlet is like "uhhh...MAGIC STUF!" Just because Hawkeye disabled her that one time, makes her appear to be 'beatable'.

- When Scarlet Witch pwns everyone the first time with mindfuckery, the Avengers end up retreating to a house implying that they have wounds that need healing. None of their issues are resolved. Captain America who has apparently felt Survivor's guilt again despite getting over it in Winter Soldier, suddenly feels fine and decides to chop wood with Tony for fun. Thor, who apparently wasn't traumatized was instead given a vision, a vision that would lead him to talk about the gems. For no reason. So what, did the Witch actually help Thor? Black Widow has a vision of her early years and because of bad editing, we are made to imply that because she had to shoot a random stranger as her final exam, she is now sterile and can never bear kids. What. She also never gets over this.

- Thor. After getting his vision, goes to Plot Device Professor who leads him to a Plot Device Pond, who for no reason other than gut instinct decides to bathe in it to get a vision of the gems. That is contrivance up to eleven. Later on Thor even expresses how he knows what the pond does so why the fuck did he need Professor Smarty-Pants. I guess he had to be contractually obligated to show up in this movie somehow.

- Ultron's plan and motivations are bullshit and makes no sense. His origins came up so fast, that he has barely any momentum or ability to grow as a character. This leaves him to become a stereotypical supervillain by the 3rd act.

- Tony Stark never getting over his Survivor's Guilt and deciding to build Ultron. For no reason. I can hear the critics tell me that Tony will always feel like this. Yeah, but this is the MCU not the comics. Tony clearly got over it in his 3rd movie. Now suddenly he's emo about saving the world again just to give birth to a plot device villain? Bullshit. Even worse is Banner agreeing to make him after no less than a single line of convincing. "Come on...come on...." "Okay Stark, I'll make the villain of the movie with you."

- Just when you think Tony learns his lesson. He decides to birth evil again. And Banner acquiesces. Again.

- In the first movie it was never even implied that Hawkeye was the weakest, and now they're playing it straight by giving him a family, a tussle with quicksilver, and a dramatic will-he-die sequence. The moment I saw his kid and wife, I could smell the plot a mile away. I think the actor just demanded more screentime and thats how he got this in.

- The sad part is, the movie had everything it needed to be good. Baron von Strucker could've tried to do something devious with the twins and Hydra now that SHIELD was out, which would give Tony LEGIT reason to build Ultron. Then Ultron could start out as an AI that learns how to hate humanity instead of just hating humanity because of the Internet. You know, they actually did something like this in the first movie: they had Loki carry the plot then suddenly Aliens in the third act. Why couldn't they do the same with Ultron here. Why the need to rush his development without any reasoning or foresight.

Didn't mean to clarify???? Where the fuck did you get the idea that i "didn't really mean to clarify" what you're doing is taking my vauge comments and twisting them to make it seem like i'm trying to avoid what i did. But if you want me to apologize to tempest then fine.
