I'm probably going to watch Age of Ultron on my computer today. Will chip in soon. Hew, what did you think of Jurassic?

I have no physical strength, hewitt is older. Obviously hewitt.

What a defeatist attitude. Perhaps you could use Hewitt's physical strength against him somehow? Being older, his vision and reflexes might also be slower than you.

But this is the internet! We can fight with amazing tools like our wit and shitposting.

You have a point. Hewitt's wit vs Lami's shitposting. Now thats a battle.

If we're fighting on a flat ground and we're only allowed to use our fists then i would probably lose. Never actually fought someone cause i would rather not.

Man why do you insist on trying to one-up the other guy? This is pretty much one of the root causes of most internet fights, both of them wanting to get the last laugh. (another cause is wanting to look superior in front of peers) Look Lamitrov, you're gonna end up making the same mistakes as a dozen other folk who tried the same thing (and not just against Hewitt) but it won't end well and most likely you'll be left with a grudge while the other guy just minds his own business. (like one guy I know)

Just give it up and admit whatever haywire emotions you have. It's waay easier to say "You got me" an don't try to be condescending about it with biteback remarks.

It may look like I contradicted myself up there, but for the subject of ultron not acting like the comics, I could care really really less. I don't even care they gave him the mind of a suave bastard. I just included that in the list because that's what watchers of that movie will point out right away and I just wanted to get it out of the way for my other pts.

I figured that's what you meant, I didn't mean to take it out of context so it looked like you were contradicting yourself. You labelled it pretty clearly as things other people say that you might agree with but then stated that it didn't really bother you like others. I'm just glad I'm not the only one who understands that the MCU is it's own universe for a reason. Seems like a lot of movies that are based on other works are criticized for any diversions from the source material, and I generally find it to be a weak argument with few exceptions.

You guys should just settle the argument, and stop.
Cause as Nish said, arguments are usually not for winning, but understanding the opposite side.

Oh yeah definitely, I know you know, Jeff. I just also wanted to bring up my knowledge of Ultron. Also ncie to know someone else feels the same way about the MCU and the comics being different.

I think the director got screwed the moment "Age of Ultron" was revealed to be the next title in the Stinger of Avengers 1 (or was it Ironman 3). At that point, they had 2-3 years to write about Ultron and the comics weren't doing anything but portray him as a DESTROYALLHUMANS villain. They couldn't backpedal even if they wanted to.

And yes I am aware that Age of Ultron is an actual comic arc. But that's the comics.

I'm not trying to one-up hewitt, get the last laugh, or feel superior. Hewitts post have been confusing and directed towards me and i'm responding to him because he thinks i'm trying to avoid a "mistake" and i'm trying to understand why he thinks that (to some extent) I'm not one-upping him because it's true and feeling superior is not my thing. (despite having "king" of the lambs under my avatar.)

I dont think you're trying to avoid a mistake. I think you made one pretty clear mistake and now you're trying to avoid responsibility for it.

You were lashing out during the argument. It could've faded much easier if you were a bit of gentle about it. It's like the Brahmastra of Hindu Mythology, the more you resist, the more powerful it gets.

Lets say Hewitt has JUST been in a fistfight with say... Mizu, thats right, Martial Arts Mizu. Do you think you can take on Hewitt right after that?

I generally agree, and I get very annoyed when people think that deviation from the source material is somehow automaticall a bad thing. But having said that, sometimes I do feel there is a pinch of validity in that criticism IF the characters are significantly dumbed down for some reason (I'm not saying Ultron is). For example, when I read Tim Burton's Superman script, it was fucking horrendous. Superman was a normal human being who had to fly in a 'Superman' rocket suit. I would understand that it was a seperate movie, but I would still feel the source was butchered.
