Quote from RaptorIts probably broken for good. If you didn't Homebrew your console, try contacting Nintendo and see if you can get your Wii fixed. It might cost some money though.
The second is much more complex, but also allows you to pirate games for free (if you have the morale to do it). You'll have to install homebrew on to your console and then install a USB loader (you'll need an SD card and USB drive for this). Mess with the options so that the USB loader installs games in to your USB drive. Use a computer to create a folder called wbfs in the usb drive and then use a program like Wii Backup Manager to move your ISO's to wbfs format into your USB drive. Each individual game in the wbfs folder should have their own folder named after the game followed by its wbfs code (ex. Brawl's wbfs code is RSBE01, so its folder would be "Super Smash Bros. Brawl [RSBE01]"). To get the Brawl ISO, you'll have to download it from the internet (fastest method is usually torrenting). It'll still take a few hours to download.
This whole process will take many hours. Its also very barebones and there are more details about USB Loaders here:http://gbatemp.net/threads/usb-loader-gx.149922/
About installing Homebrew, here:http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Homebrew_Channel
Use the letter bomb method.
I'm already using the dolphin emulator, I should be fine for a while.
But yeah, I'm gonna get a check up on it soon.
But I have heard about the Homebrew Channel. I tried installing it on my Wii once about a year ago, but it didn't work. Probably because I didn't have enough memory on my SD Card.
Quote from JoonyOh, now I have an idea of what happened. You see, when your sister stripped over the wire, it ruptured the inside of the GC socket. Inside the wii, everything is connected, so when it ruptured the gamecube socket it moved over six or seven objects in the wii, doing damage to the disc holder in the wii, either cracking it or dis-locating it.
Ah, that makes sense. Well, could I fix the problem myself?

I have the same problem, and if you do in fact have the same problem as I do, your only two options is getting it fixed at Nintendo (or if your local GameStop can do it, dunno if they can) or just get Homebrew and use a USB loader.

Happened to me once, i just opened the casing, disconnected the disc drive, re-aligned it, then connected it again and closed the casing. Easy fix anyone can do.

Well, if you know how to do it, you can open the wii, and I could teach you over the weekend on skype or something, but I doubt that you have the tools, the intelligence, or if your parents will even let you. But other than that, you have to pay to get it fixed. BUT YOU BETTER HOPE ITS NOT CRACKED, OR YOU'LL BE SCREWED AND HAVE TO PAY FOR A NEW ONE
oh and dont install homebrew if the wii is messed up, you'll brick your wii plenty of times. It gets very annoying very quickly. My wii kept bricking every 30 minutes. I didnt know how to fix it because I was only 13. But I did get it fixed, and the only hacks I have now, is the ones on the system menu.

The newer versions are more solid and don't brick at all. I've been using a Wii with a broken disc drive for months with Homebrew and I haven't bricked once.
