I didn't mean to blow it out of proportion. I just wanted to clarify what your tastes are. And I don't think it was sexist to require one to state what one's sexual preference and reiterate one's gender if they are going to make a formal advice request.
It's like me just suddenly saying "I have a friend I haven't seen in 10 years that I'm meeting again in a reunion. I hate him. What do I do?" while leaving the very convenient part out about how he broke my spine and sent me to near paralysis ages ago.
