You mean he's an unfunny, screaming tryhard man-child who just keeps appearing in pop culture like a bad rash?

Yes, and he finds Kevin James and Rob Schneider funny. Total Captain Cook.

directly from their site: "A circular waterway for irrigation and filtration surrounds the agricultural belt"

you're way too convinced you understand this thing that you just spent the last 20 minutes looking into

but like, why not underground irrigation that is already used everywhere. Yeah, you're right, but these are just issues that I noticed almost immediately, and if they were explained I'd be more than willing to change.

This was my issue:
Image

This is an in-land town, without any clear source of water, yet they built this massive canal around a city, instead of simply using the underground irrigation that the farms surrounding this city use.

Yeah though, it's concept art, but I feel like a lot of it is.

"Beyond politics, poverty and war"
Like poverty and war are things that governments intentionally strive towards, and aren't by-products of the inherent faults within socio-economic systems.

Like yeah, maybe poverty, but you can't really abolish War.

If you noticed, before WW1 there was a big positive movement, with a lot of utopian shit floating around. The Triple Alliance was also held as the one organization that would ensure global peace, and it was thought that War was pretty much abolished.

Enter WW1, and the post-war fatalism and pessimism. The diseases that festered in Europe post WW1 brought over by Americans and soldiers coming home only added to that, and a lot of pessimism began to spread.

Actually Exilement, I do see soemthing that makes sense in the Venus Project, and that would be the automation of production. You can't really have an economy without currency as long as there are producers that need to get paid, you know? You can't really pay a butcher in meat.

However, if you automate it, it's fully possible that from the consumer side you could resource-base but whatever.

If I'm not wrong there was a big Zeitgeist thread here, started by Scarecrow even.

Rob Schneider

After that one night in New York I can only stare at myself in my mirror in the shower

I think I become him more and more every day after he infected me with his strain

Also fuck Vince Vaughn, if that's how you say his name. Goddamn people say Statham plays the same role in every movie, but Vaughn totally steals that title.

He's not a bad actor at all, his movies lately are little more than excuses to go on vacation with his friends but they make money and certain demographics apparently enjoy them, who gives a fuck. If I were him I'd do the same thing.

I knew you were joking all along foramen
Never doubted you for a second.

And yeah, Adam Sandler is the Lil B of movies, he's making money for it though, so who cares

Grown ups is like the endurance running of movies.

I tried to watch it, but it didn't have a plot, and was ridiculously long.

It might've not even been that long, but it just felt long as fuck.

But what Exilement said makes sense. It's kind of "Hey, I have a cabin. Let's get a bunch of friends and kind of make a movie, have fun, and make a shitload of money"

But I'd really like to know who the demographic for Sandler movies are.

I completely forgot about that. I really like that movie.

That and Click.
