Which is why biting is best used as a complementary attack. While you already have him in a chokehold, you could bite. Or bite to get your way OUT of something. That shouldn't be your go-to thing.

Attempting to bite someone also means you have to open your jaw, and if he lands a solid punch or kick or elbow to your open jaw, it will break and you'll be out for the count while your family gets murdered and raped.

Not just limited to biting, flailing limbs and full-body tackles can be part of the repertoire. When a person snaps, they're going to throw everything they can muster and make sure the opponent will have a bad time...unless he has a gun. Then again, Adrenaline is an amazing thing and (most) wild animals don't die in one hit immediately.

I just realized that I'm basically describing how my RHG fights, despite the weapon and abilities.

Bites tend to have a little side effect to them, especially if you haven't brushed your teeth. You'll at least get the last laugh with infection, and if he sees medical attention then he'll still have to expose himself.

Wild, uncontrolled flailing is the worst thing you can do in a fight. Just think about it. The only reason we have martials arts and self-defense training is because animal instincts and the body's natural response in a fight might not always be the best thing to do. In fact, a person with even a rudimentary knowledge of fighting can seriously injure someone who is "going all out". Its VERY easy to tire someone out when they do that, and not to mention thats how people break their fingers and thumbs, but hitting someone else in the wrong part of the body when they're "being wild".

I'd like to counter this by saying bites have an even worse effect on you. This guy is a murderer rapist, if you bite him, you could end up getting a venereal disease of some kind. The chances of HIM getting infected because of your dirty teeth are MUCH lower than YOUR chances of getting a disease of some kind by biting him. So your logic in that area doesn't hold up.

Thats pretty much what we were talking about.

Although to hurl an object sufficiently, you'll need to pull back. This basically opens you up to them charging at you and having their way with you.

On a completely separate note, anyone know any good fantasy/action/romance novels? Romance isn't nessesary. It's just to narrow the criteria.

Thats a broad category, if you're looking for good fantasy, then you have to start with Tolkien's stuff.

From there you can gravitate to the Malazan series, A Song of Ice and Fire, the Discworld stuff etc.
