EDIT: Also, it looks like this forum has died off considerably.

I wonder why that is too, I can only say why I don't post that often any more; I can't speak for the others.

That semicolon is proper yeah? Ah fuck it I'm too high to give a fuckity fuck.

I'm still on this website 24/7. I'm not sure why I don't post very much either, lel

Also, am I the only one who doesn't think robots will turn evil the second that they develop sentience? I actually find the idea kind of dumb.

I dont think they will. Their AI would have obviously have to be programmed, so I'm sure the developers would set parameters that the robot would able to think within, anything outside those parameters their AI would ignore. Sort of like a programmed learning disability.

Once again, this line of thinking is why the robots will win

This. Humans trying to control self improving AI, would be like termites trying to control humans. Try all the bullshit you want, it will never work.

Legitimate AI with intelligence far surpassing humans, would more than likely come to the conclusion that violence/war is not an optimal solution for anything. In fact it probably wouldn't care much for humans after a while. We really wouldn't have anything valuable to contribute, and our petty human level range of emotions would be too simplistic/primitive to make us worth interacting with.

But more than likely, we'll get dickheads starting anti AI movements and all kind of bullshit, which may instigate conflict. Conflict we would not win.

I don't think so, but they'll start demanding rights and shit. We made robots to serve us. We don't want them to demand rights, and we don't want them to even be able to conceptualize that.

Hey Cronos I don't know anything about Australian politics but the general consensus is that Abott is a dickwad. Him laughing at the concept of nation islands drowning due to global warning was enough proof.
Do you think the new PM is any better?

I would love to hear the outcome.

Abbott got voted out a couple of hours ago. Malcolm Turnbull is now the Prime minister.

As for whether or not he'll be any good, that remains to be seen. But Abbott was a joke, so I can't imagine it getting much worse. Turnbull is known for having a bit of a temper, which Abbott alluded to earlier stating that the rigors of the job a more "febrile" and "lesser man" may not be able to endure.
