How're things for you over there in the Great Brit? Still helping yourself to gratuitous amounts of alcohol?

Of course. Life's still basically good with pretty much no free time. I could have stopped by around Christmas but I got distracted by Fallout 4 and now I'm back to no time again.

Unfortunately my hard drive failed a few months ago and I lost absolutely everything. I got a new SSD and an external hard drive, started rebuilding my workflow, then about 2 weeks later dropped the HD from like two feet and broke it. So I got another one, started rebuilding again, and another 2 weeks later it failed randomly and needed reformatting. I'm stuck with a 15 gig/month data plan at home and my work connection sucks so at this point I've given up trying to get a digital workflow going again.

That said I've been playing a lot of music with my friend and we've got something of a two-piece band together, we both play guitar and we have a good collection of analog equipment between the two of us which I find a lot more fun to work with. We have hours worth of recordings but they're mostly rough cuts and we don't upload much. The first 5 tracks here plus Song 1, 2 and 3 are some of the ones we've finished but what we do these days is waaaay better, I just got a drum machine for Christmas and it opened up a lot of possibilities for us (I made the drums on those soundcloud tracks with a looper and a Korg N1 keyboard). Once we finally get around to mastering some of it I'll make sure to share it here.

It's pretty clear you dedicate a lot to this. Is there something you're trying to achieve?

I want to be in a band and perform some day. Playing live with a drum machine, a synthesizer, a guitar and tons of pedals is just so much fucking fun compared to hunching over my computer adjusting virtual knobs and shit. It gave me way too many options and too much control and it got in the way of the actual creative process.

Matt and I sound great when we jam almost every single time, I need to find a way of recording it one of these days. It's something we're planning on doing, $$ is really the only thing that holds us back

I seriously want to play but I fear the lag it may bring. Being 20GB worth of space, I don't want to DL it and just have to remove it because its unplayable in my region. :(

I played it in Chinese back in the day, the lag was unbearable though; that's why I waited for the NA release.

Now I have to wait for SEA release. Sad days ahead.

I'll simply wait for Tree of Saviour instead.

fuck man i watch a video on unit vectors from khan academy for my statics class, and at the end of it there's this cartoon dude and i got 600 points, for watching the video for the first time, and watching it all the way through

like whoop de fucking doo good job for me, I sat through a video about fucking vectors and gasp, sat through the entire 3 minute video. just fuck fuck man goddamn

I just feel like there's somewhere better i could be right now, but i don't know

like, I should've been further on in life by now, known more by now, prepared more, but i didnt

i don't know anymore, man fuck

I feel like a dude with an impotent dick, except that instead of my dick not performing it's my life, and I'm just kind of sitting here content with my half-chub of an existence

EDIT:

That's good babes, I personally have been playing a lot of Planetside 2 now. I don't even listen to the game audio or communicate anymore, I just kind of play for the sake of playing now
