Cruel~ I imagine those apartments are the situation where it is more comfortable to sleep on the floor than the bed and more.

Meh more like they're in really dangerous neighborhoods. It's only 600 a month for a reason you know? I live in the Chicago suburbs, so you can find really cheap housing in some of the towns around here. It's a good and bad thing I guess because you don't need to make a lot to move out, but you won't be living in luxury for sure.

How would you guys feel about another game of Eyedentify or Silhouettes? Because if you guys are interested, I might make another one or a new game along the same formula.

I'm better at Eyedentify than I am at Silhouettes, so I'm all for it. :P

I will join anything that Charry starts, including a cult that worships her perfect snarkiness.

Also, Debate Threads require searching for proof, providing facts to back your claims and sound analysis, which is far too much work when all you want to do is repeat political non-revelations that you heard or read elsewhere. The Chat Thread is ideal for that.

Bonus points for being dead fuckin' right.

Now for that sad moment of realizing we all mostly post in here.

This. Make this.

I considered making a thread called "life goals" but no real topic is being discussed here so I decided just to share this decision of mine here.

So if you didn't already know by my pretty constant past of making emotionally fueled threads showing my frustration with life, I have a tendency to fall into cycles of depression. However, these last few weeks have been an enlightening experience as I took a few weeks to socially isolate myself and do some introspection.

Personally, I came to the conclusion that the source of my failing to be happy has to do with my attitude and overly pessimistic attitude, as well as my addictive personality and tendency to over fantasize things, ending ultimately in my own disappointment, which leads to smoking cigs and weed, cheap hook ups, and self loathing, which is a bad bad.

So as of a few weeks ago, I decided to stop being mediocre in everything I do, and focus on becoming the best person I can be. I've been regularly going to the gym to play basketball, dedicating a bit of time each day to learn (crash course is the shit for this), and another portion of the day to writing. Honestly, it's been the best few weeks I've had in a long time, and I made a few commitments to keep it this way. My goal is to stay single for an entire year to really figure out who I really am and knock myself off my prideful high horse as well as just be a better person in general.

You guys ever have any goals you try to set yourself both long and short term?

I'm almost done with my senior year of high school. Finals are in a couple of weeks and a few days.

This scholarship I'm applying to that will allow to me go study in Japan (I've brought this up like 4 times before so a lot of you know about it) will open up it's initial applications in a few days. Getting my documents and grades ready and hoping for the best.

I'm trying to massively improve my work ethic. A lot of times I start working on something I end up finding myself lost in all kinds of thoughts and worries and not doing much. I still managed to get by really well in school with this attitude, but I know that this won't workout in the future if I plan to take an intensive and time consuming thing like animation as a career.

Also in 2 weeks time there's gonna be this prom dance thing. It's happening at this one private school that happens to be normal and not segregated by gender like the rest of the schools in this godforsaken place. I happen to have a friend who goes to that school so he can get me in there no problem. I don't have date (since I barely know any girls irl), but hey maybe I'll still find a random dance partner there.
I'm hoping this prom thing will help me get my mind of off a slightly recent blunder I had with a girl I liked (which was entirely my fault but oh well).

You got this, bro. Seriously. Making a proper commitment to yourself to change things is the first step in a huge positive direction. I lost a ton of weight in the last few months because I set myself small goals, and its already lead to massive improvements in my life. I set myself small goals at work like "take the initiative with a new deal at least once a month" or "send in a report to the CEO even if unsolicited to do so" or "Just fucking learn to enjoy work". I'm the General Manager of the largest Film Production company in India now. I'm not saying it happened overnight, I'm not saying one thing will inevitably lead to another. I'm saying just make small goals and keep to it, and good things will just begin to happen. Or rather, when some form of luck strikes, you will be in a position to take advantage of that. Don't ever succumb to self-pity or despair, those are the worst sins for yourself. Just remember that life is made up of 10% of what happens to you and 90% of how you react to it. If you ever feel like you're waiving from your path, shoot me a PM and we'll talk.

Best of luck with the whole Japan adventure. Your work ethic is something which will improve as you get older, and as your own doubts about life and all that stop grinding you down. Don't think about those things now, just focus on getting your ass to Japan as an animator.
