Pretty obvious they used the age around when puberty kicks in as the age of consent. From a certain perspective it kind of does make sense because I guess that's around the time when you start having a sexual drive? Idk though you're still pretty dumb at that age and easy to manipulate.

IMO there are a lot of problems with having a set age of consent. Like let's say it's 18 for example like it is in most of the world. Technically that means if an 18 year old and 17 year old are dating and they sleep with each other the 18 year old would have committed rape by law, which is pretty fucking retarded.

Same thing if the age is 12. Even though it's a bit unlikely, and an uncomfortable image, but what if a 12 year old and 11 year old touch each other or some shit? This kind of thing happens especially in this much more sexually open generation. Is that 12 year old a child molester even though they're both children and both almost just as dumb?
