It's cool. Then again people are so judgmental and are always on the lookout to be able to call you out on shit because we give idiots infractions. We even have a thread set up in our bat lounge where we copy and paste some of the stupid pms we get. You wouldn't believe some of the shit, it's gold.

It feels like being a normal user with responsibilities.

Sounds like a lot of work. How many infractions do you give daily?

Camila, luzoto, and xero I believe give the most. I basically just clean up spam bots and deal with major instances rather than tedious stuff. I would be a lot more active in my moderation if I wasn't stuck on an iPad :(

That's funny because my sister just won an iPad in a contest recently. xD

It does, but it sounds like you have to be pretty active on the forums when you're a mod.

Being a mod is barrels of fun, honestly

The hardest part is the constant and continuous butthurt of everyone else around you. You learn quickly that everyone's more sensitive than a middle school girl and that their sense of humor is nonexistent.

I have the best thing to put there now that you mention it. It's an ongoing tale of one user's quest to get his RHG image to be 150x150 pixels. Absolutely riveting.

That makes sense. xD
Mods are alright as long as they don't abuse their power.

And I understand about the butthurt part. I remember I was being a dick to Exilement and I kind of regret it, because he's simply using constructive criticism and I was ignoring it.

I have had issues in that area a lot, cam. That's why I don't go to the rug section much anymore lol. I let you guys take care it lol. So many 245x300's turned I to 137x175's lol. I was an asshole to this guys who was being a douche and he couldn't get his image down passed 150x151 lol.

Edit: yeah someone had quoted this guys post so I thought I was fine if I edited it and Jeff yelled at me :(

the rug section

giggle

But yes indeed, the struggle is real. The exasperation I feel sometimes rattles my very soul. It's also hard to deal with clan threads, because some people treat them like this here chat thread and others are like "no off-topic posts faggot" so it's hard to infract consistently.

It's true.
However, I don't much of a problem with the mods on these forums.

Not really. I mean, I wouldn't say it would be the number 1 prerequisite. You just have to care. And if you care alot, the activeness comes with it. I stuck mainly in General Discussion and the Literature sections when Jeff approached me, and I told him this. And he said, it didn't matter. I was just really mature and level-headed and he could use a guy like me.

I don't think the judgemental capacity of users is the hardest part about being a mod. If you act maturely and impartially in your actions (admitting to mistakes, specifying why you infracted/banned someone like that, etc), then you command respect all on your own. If you feel any personal grievance towards people you moderate then, it just gives a certain emotional bias.
