I will never understand the appeal of pepper on your food, when there is a clearly superior condiment.

Quote from Zero
2.) Lying and Swearing(Especially people on the net) is because the users has a sense of protection around them that enables them to do things in the internet that they wouldn't do dare in real life. It's called "Animosity".
I... That's....
That's not the fucking word at all...
I'm going to stop myself here. Again.
Don't correct people if you yourself are fucked up. The word you are looking for is anonymity, not animosity. Research your stuff.
Quote from Samy IchiroJapanese culture is very rich, its history too but what I dont get is the weird part of the stuff they do.
You realize that everybody in Japan that lives outside of Tokyo fucking hates Tokyo. They call them "Tokes", because Tokyo is where all this faggoty ass anime and shit comes from. Yeah, Japanese culture is badass as fuck, but Tokyo and it's cesspool of stupid shit and really immature anime really tarnished that. Japanese people hate what Tokyo has made their country out to look like.

Well, that's quite interesting
Here is something that I don't get: why most of the animes show the same characteristics (like, on my advice the drawings used are quite similar in each anime, as well as the student-magic-demon-fighter themes)?
Also, I don't get the hype around Gurren Lagann: since I didn't see it at all (only some pics on signatures and DA), can someone tell me what is there of so attractive in it?

Maybe you should watch it first and then judge it based on how you felt about it

You could say that about any modern cartoon, really. Or even any show, since there are only seven basic stories retold throughout all literature. Also, instead of asking us what's so good abut something, why don't you find out yourself? Otherwise you don't have a right to complain because you don't even know what you're complaining about.

Coming from friends that are stationed in Okinawa, every time they mention anime or Tokyo to the locals, the locals sigh and leave.
My friend told me that term from a paper he had to write about Japanese sexual culture. But yeah, Tokes is English slang that Japanese people use to talk with murricans.

Out of all the things your culture would be associated, it wouldn't be tight ass niggas in plate armor and swords, it'd be fucking cartoon characters.

Swords:
What about them you may ask? Well being that in every fantasy setting, it's always the sword that's the hero's weapon, it's always the lone swordsman that saves the day. It's always the sword that happens to be the ultimate weapon in the story. Why not use a axe or a mace or something other than the god damn sword, Jesus Christ! Do you know how many RHGs use a sword here? I'm confident that almost half of them use one.
Dragons:
Dragon Age, Dragon Quest, Dragon born, Dragon Tales, How to Train Your Dragon, Dragonball Z, Dragon This, Dragon That, Dragon Those, Dragon These, Dragon There. Dragon... Oh my g- Why?! Holy shit, why are dragons so popular? Can't we think of something else like a giant Spider Hornet spinning webs and stinging elephants or something?
