Yes, exactly. Thank you mizu. I know these places exist. And if you're a Pivot-fan, then you'd at least know something about these communities as well. So it boggles me why Cryos could insinuate a co-op between squares and circles when such a venture with purely pivot communities has already happened and generated far more success than a Pivot Clan with Flash Members or a Pivot Clan in Flash Territories, doing crappy weeklies.

It's not like Pivot and flash can really compete with eachother unless there are people who put in the fucking time to make pivot awesome like this even then pivot is made for fucking simplicity so it will probably never be able to match flash in looks and crazy doo dads unless someone is really committed and skilled to pull it off in pivot. But still they're made for 2 different audiences.

Even the supposedly great pivot that Mizu/soroku just posted doesn't really hold a candle to what that same animator (if he put in equal effort and passion and learned it) could do with Flash. I don't get how Pivot and Flash can be compared at all. But you are correct that Pivot is tailor made for simple ideas. Unfortunately, I feel that Pivot's rustic charm has been totally forgotten by being used only for "kewlFAIGHTanimashunssss".

I don't get the appeal of Stick Animator's (mostly RHG fanatics) insistence that it can only improve through fights and battles. They will argue that it's the only thing worth animating but it's been proven that stories can be told regardless of the medium or style.

This is actually something that has bugged me since I joined here, and I have voiced it several times, and so have people like Exilement. I don't understand the insistence that worthwhile animation = fights + predetermined technique. I've never understood the style > substance approach that is so abundant here.
