Will there be limited bullets? If so, maybe you could have an ability to throw your gun at an enemy when your out of ammo. Or you could use it for a melee weapon.

I know exactly what game you mean, but I'm saying that what I have planned is NOT like it.

I said that the gameplay wouldn't just be killing zombies, it would be finding new weapons (Not just having them suddenly appear in your inventory), finding good places to camp, and looking for food and ammo. NOTHING like boxhead except for the fact that it has zombies and guns.

@Raffi: When you run out of ammo, you'll switch to your basic melee weapon, which is chosen by our class.

How's about this for classes?

Soldier- Has a riffle, a medi-kit, 2 ration(s). Is slower then most classes, can aim better then any other class, reloads faster then any other class, can withstand more hits then any other class.

Civilian- No weapons, 4 ration(s). Is the 2nd fastest class, has the 2nd worse aiming, is weaker then most classes. Slow reload speed.

Athleet- No weapons, no rations. Fastest class, has the worst aiming, weakest class. Slow reload speed.

Repair Man- Wrench, 1 ration(s). Medium speed, has somewhat good aiming. Can fix objects (such as guns). Strong. Medium reload speed.

Criminal- Knife, 0 ration(s). Slow speed. Strongest class. Can kill quicker then anyother class, can die easier then anyother class. Fastest reload speed.

I know, I spelled one of the classes wrong.

A lot of those sound good. I think I may change them up some, though. For instance, I would think that the criminal should be tough if he is going to be slow. Besides, he a hardened murderer.




And I decided to have three game modes, one being a story mode, the next being a "survival" mode that keeps track of how long you live, and the third being a "massacre" mode that keeps track of how many zombies you kill.

Sweet. Hows this for weapons.

Melee weapons-


Stick- weakest weapon, fastest hitting speed. Breaks offten (you might want to add that, because some weapons can break over time.)

Wooden club(Bat)- 2nd weakest weapon, 2nd fastest hitting speed, breaks sometimes.

Pipe- Medium damage, slow hitting speed, can not break, only bend, but it reduces damage.

Steel club(Steel bat)- High damage, very slow hitting speed, dosent break or bend.

Knife- High damage, very quick hitting speed. Can break, not offten (this is were Repair Man comes in. He can fix the weapons.)

Axe- Very High damage, very slow hitting speed. Dosent break offten.


Ranged Weapons-


Slingshot- Very weak damage, very fast hitting speed, Break offten.

9mm Pistol- Medium-High damage, medium hitting speed. Breaks rarley. Medium reload speed.

6 shooter (Revovler)- High damage, slow hitting speed. Breaks rarley. Slow reload speed.

Shotgun- Very high damage, very slow hitting speed. Break rarely. Very slow reload speed.

SMG- Low-Medium damage, fast hitting speed. Breaks rarely. Medium reload speed.

Riffle- High damage, medium hitting speed. Breaks rarely. Slow reload speed.

Auto Riffle- High damage, fast hitting speed. Break Rarely. Medium reload speed.

HMG (Heavy Machine Gun)- Very high damage, very fast hitting speed. Break rarely. Very slow reload speed.

Sniper Riffle- Critticle damage, very slow reload speed. Break rarely. Very slow reload speed.

Bazoka- Critticle damage, very slow reload speed. Break rarely. Very, very slow reload speed.

Mini-gun (I had to put this here)- Critticle damage, F***** fast hitting speed. Breaks rarely. very, very slow reload speed.



Wow that was long. I have alot of ideas for this game.

Edit: I noticed that when I put if they break or not i put 'Break' insted of 'Breaks'
and I noticed that some of the weapons thay I listed are already posted before. But this is more of a stats for the weapons, insted of naming them.

Make a multi party game. So you can have for example a reporter to reach locked doors and a cop. Making then their way trough the game. In the way the enemies get smarter or more accurate, even so they are zombies, you could plan some kind of tactic with your party. Make a party limit, like only 2 persons who can travel you per time.
Make items trading possible so you can take the full advantage of your "pals".

You can even include them in the story, like they travel with for a level and get bitten and you have either to shoot them or leave them behind.

Make safe places. In the urban settings make usable houses where you can save your game or recover some energy. Or even get some parts of hidden objects that you can use to later build something.

This makes my other idea. Have the ability to build your weapons at local stores when you find "Engineer" survivors.
I would suggest Turrets but I'm guessing that it would be very hard to program its AI.

I can't recall nothing more.. But I'll see. I hope you can get a use on something I said.

You need to rethink some basic principles in your life.


Classes:

Hunter - Medium Speed, armed with a rifle and 9mm pistol, medium health medium damage
Ranger - fast speed, sniper and knife, medium health high damage, but hard to play
Marine - Low speed, Ak47 and glock, high health high damage, hard to kill and pure awesome
Citizen - very High speed, crowbar/baseball bat, medium health, low damage
Veteran ( Unlockable class ) Medium speed, G3 and Ak47, high health, high damage
Dealer ( Unlockable class ) High speed, knife, high health, low damage, but just freakin awesome
Priest ( Unlockable class ) Medium speed, 12 gauge shotty, very high damage, low health
Infected ( Secret class ) High speed, hands and teeth, very high damage, high health
Brute - low speed, fists, extremely high damage, extremely high health
Badass ( Secret class ) Extremely high speed, awesome rays, infinite health, extremely high damage, and filled with epic to the brim


Oh, and a ultra secret

MEGA MONSTER ( Extremely secret class ) Amazingly high speed, auto-kill damage, infinite health, and MASSIVE.


Weapons :

Hand variety : Knuckledusters (2 damage), spiked chains (5 damage), Fists ( 1 damage )

Weapon variety : Crowbar (4 damage), baseball bat (4 damage), stick (1 damage), log (15 damage but only one use), knife (6 damage), stake (4 damage), chain (4 damage), bone (1/2 damage), plate ( 3 damage, but prone to smashing, on smashing it deals an extra 10 damage), and then we has cups, which do (4 damage)

Guns: Ak47 (7 damage ), rifle (30 damage), sniper rifle (40 damage), G3 ( 10 damage), 9mm (5 damage), glock (5 damage), 6 mm (3 damage), desert eagle (8 damage), Uzi (3 but extremely fast), nailgun (20 damage)

I'm only going to allow one player in game at a time. I can't do AI well enough to do the other characters effectively.

Most of those classes and weapons are completely off balance, and all you posted was their damage, no reload or fireing speed. And the description for 3 classes are jokes. And some classes are off balance.

Actually, the unlockable characters are unlocked after completing the game twice, and the secret character is unlocked by doing strange tasks irrelevant to the game in an specific order.

Reload and firing speed can be decided by Ash, as I don't want to restrict him too much.


Also, my father is a game designer, and my mother majored in game tech, I know my shit when it comes to games.

Also, they are balanced, and remember, not everybody is a veteran, you need a slightly overpowered class for beginners.


Also, Badass class would have lasers instead of actual weapons, which deal (9999999 damage) a second, the Dealer class is underpowered, perfect for veteran players, and the marine class is a wicked average player class.

Inhuman, actually the best hing for beginners is a middle-range class, one that is midway in every stat. That way the player can figure out what things he needs more based on his playing style. Creating any overpowered class will cause players to use it more often to get easier high scores, which will throw leaderboards off balance.
