OOC: Bambi and I will be gone for a few days. We will try to get on as much as we can, but please forgive any absences
The rest of the group was splashing in the river or resting under trees. But Ravin sat at the edge of the water, staring at the azure glass. Sure water seemed harmless, but he knew. He knew that water was wrathful and could swallow anyone, regardless of their strength. Water rusts metal. He was metal. Oh no, he did not trust water.
Suddenly, feathers, cawing, shouting, general pandemonium ensued. In a moment, Lissette, who was standing just a short distance away, was whisked off by a giant bird. Based on Boris' attempts, it seemed immune to his natural talent of charming it. The shock sent Ravin tumbling into the stream, and he was incapacitated with fear as the icy river washed over his body. It only ever came up to the waist. After a moment of terror, Ravin sprinted for his life out of the water and collapsed on the shore. A beat, and he was back up, watching his allies all disperse into the forest after the bird took off with the seldom-bird. He heard twigs and branches snap, and took off in that direction. He climbed up a tree and began to leap among the branches. Notching an arrow, he watched the path of branches and brush to track down what turned out to be Jess herself. Leaping down beside her, he threw open his arms
"AH! Lady Jessica I thought you were long gone! It is good to be with a group!" glancing at the spider, he continued, "Especially with such nasty insects around!"
Actually they're arachnids
Quiet you!
He knelt beside it and started tracing its fangs, muttering to himself
"Ooh, been many years since I've had to kill anything venomous. If I'm remembering correctly, then the sacs should be right" He made a quick cut with his finger "HERE! Aha, more items for my arsenal!" He quickly stashed it away, and turned back to the group.
"Now, if I may suggest a course of action, we must regroup posthaste and find Lissette!"

Jessica helped Marcus to stand up and soon Ravin and the rest got to their position "Ravin, I feel something really bad around this place we need to stay toghether indeed, sorry for running of like that", then a noise got her attention a clash of a shield and battle noises. She paid more attention to them, it was probable Boris and Septimius, there was apparently a third person as well.... Desmond.
"Guys come follow me!, I know where the rest are", Jessica then lead the way towards the rest of the party "I don't like this feeling.... not at all... is a really bad situation, most of my companions can't see... maybe wait for sunli--" she shook her head to the thought, "No way, I'm not wasting any second here while Liss is out there probably in Worborrow surrounded by werewolves... no... we gotta get there as soon as possible."

"He crashed down somewhere behind me, Desmond," Boris responded as he's still clinging to his spider blood-covered staff. For his high stamina, he wasn't panting at all. He still has enough energy to fight, but wishes to conserve it when saving Liss.
"We have to reach Worborrow fast and rescue Lissette. Who knows what that raven is doing to her... where are the others?"

Septimius used his shield to block initial lunges and then stabbed the spiders' brain with his ice spear. "We wait for the others. We need everyone first just to be safe." He stated to Boris.
He looked at Desmond and smirked, "Next time you spar, count me in. Seems like I need the exercise." He panted slightly then turned back to fend off more spiders.

The spiders all fell by the hands of Septimius, Desmond and Boris, and eventually they decided simply staying in the shadows and hissing was enough rather than being brutally murdered. The others eventually regrouped with them, and now the question was what their next option was. The moon was beginning to set, which meant daylight would soon come.

"Sure. The next time, I may have an electrified sword to match your magic." Desmond smiled as he hacked his blade through another spider. Ghan's fist sped through the spider's head and caused it to implode in arachnid juices.
They soon noticed the spider's retreat.
"Marcus!" Desmond called out.

OOC: Hey all! I'm super sorry that I haven't been on recently. It's been a crazy couple of weeks, and I'm really sorry that I'm not gonna be available this week either. Please forgive me for any inconvenience that these absences may have caused
Adric shot up. His head hurt. The fire blazed, and he made a solemn vow to stop drinking before bed. He took a large swallow of his flask before lying down again to sleep. That was when Gray rudely awoke him. They were leaving. Adric shot up and began walking with the group. "My friends, what a beautiful country to be in!" Adric remarked, despite the morbid and bleak scenery around him. "It truly is a time to be alive! I envy those ghouls my friends, for they get to be alive twice!" Adric noticed his companions were caught up in their own conversations. He hummed something to himself as he merrily kicked small pebbles and stones out of the way. He was making a great game of it, when a note came from his throat that was utterly discordant and horrid. He hummed the note again and learned that it was not he who made the note. The horrid caws of a raven took ownership of that. The beast swooped down with the ferocity only seen on the front lines of the war. With one slash of its claw, it took the one they called Liss. Adric watched as the bird flew off into the distance. He blinked once. Twice. He glanced at the flask in his hand, then back at the rapidly diminishing bird. He poured the remainder of the flask into the dirt. A bad brew, he was sure of it.
The party's screams slammed his sensitive ears, and aggravated his already splitting headache. Clearly he had been mistaken about the very real raven. And he had wasted perfectly good liquor on a bad assumption. "I am going to tear out that beast's heart, and serve it on rice." The party sprinted into the woods and Adric followed, lagging behind slightly. He was huffing and puffing before he knew it. His head hurt. He was nauseous. He wanted to kill a bird. His life was suffering. If the gods actually cared about him, he was sure this was some sort of revenge. He had no idea why though. He had never done anything to them. Just to their servants on the earth. And even then, he hadn't really done anything wrong per say. Just immoral and with a complete disregard for another living soul. A gray area he reasoned. As Adric sat next to the bank of the river, several large spiders jumped down from the trees to fight the small group that ran into the woods. Adric blinked once. Twice. He took another small flask and cast it into the woods. A bad brew, he was sure of it. No other thing could explain the anatomically impossibilities he had seen in the past few minutes. Adric tried to find something useful to do. He attempted to lower his crossbows to fire, but the throbbing in his head didn't let him focus. He resorted to insults instead.
Any other man would have flown into a fury at hearing the crass words and comments Adric used. But men are different from spiders in many ways, ego being one of them. Adric yelled till his throat was raw. Only when the world stopped wobbling did he realize that the spiders were dead. Adric kicked one in the broken abdomen. That'll show him to be impossible Adric thought. As the party moved into a nearby river, Adric began to wade in to about his ankles. He took flask after flask and poured them into the lazily flowing river, one after the other. Ravin approached him and tapped him on the shoulder
"Adric my friend, we must regroup posthaste! Why do you waste time pouring your liquor into the river?" Adric didn't look up. He could only focus on his splitting headache, and simply muttered "A bad brew, I'm sure of it," over and over. Gray managed to bring him back to the shore. Adric saw the moon setting. His face fell to one of despair. Bright light was the last thing he needed at this moment

The situation was bad.... for everyone, they'll be attacked by spiders until the sun comes out plus they gotta go for Liss. Trying to pull off a quick plan Jessica said to the group "What if someone provides us light to fight any spider that may come across our way and we move across the forest in the direction of Worborrow?, I think the sun will rise soon but with all these disgusting monsters around, staying still in one place sounds like a bad idea.... Anyone else got a better idea?"

"I can see them perfectly, Jessica. They're just hissing at us and retreating, they know we're a threat to them." Desmond responded and looked up into the branches, searching for their angelic ally and any sudden spiders that attempts to jump at them.
Ghan looked around, his empty sockets searched the ground for any bold spiders.

OOC: Btw error, Marcus is with us lol
"That sounds perfect... the less we fight with them the more energy we save for the battle we'll have in Worborrow" she breathed deeply, puting her thoughts in order to calm down herself, holding her sword tightly she added "Shall we move on?..."

The stitcher looked to Ghan and nodded. He did understand the others.

"I know this forest by the back of my head," Boris responded as he pulls out an unlit torch from his burlap sack. "The woods at nighttime are exceptionally dangerous; crawlers and beasts claim these woods their own and will attack any unlucky soul who dares set out at night. People can only leave the town during the day, which is the safest time to travel. Once the denizens of Worborrow realize my abilities, I've been used as a deliverer and passenger for mails and such. At least, at the time was a well-payed pass-time."
Using his flint and tinder, he successfully lit the torch.
"I know a shortcut through this treacherous forest. Follow me."

Marcus wasn't afraid of the spider, all he was worried about was the well being of Liss. Before he could react to the spider Jessica had surprisingly showed up and killed it off. Marcus stood up and brushed himself off. Nodding to the others around him, he continued on with the others to head to Worborrow as Liss had asked.

The group continued on their way as the spiders were dealt with, the brethren of the fallen species retreating from them. They continued to go through the woods toward the city as quickly as they could, and by the time they reached the gate, the sun was just beginning to rise above the trees, giving the skies an orange-red hue. Marcus was eager to find Lissette, being the first to burst through the gate and look upon the city. However, what he found was strange.
The city was virtually flawless. The buildings were intact, people walked the streets as if nothing was wrong, kindly greeting one another good morning. Shops and hotels were open. Life seemed to be going smoothly for the city within the forests.
