Secret Santa II
Dear Sir and or Madam,
The wRHG thanks you for the role you play in our corporation, and commends you on not dying this past year. Well done! As a show of our gratitude and congratulations, we’d like to extend to you an invitation to our second annual Secret Santa event. Just like last time, we’ll be drawing names out of hat to decide who gets who on December 1st, so if you plan on partaking make sure to get to your local arena and have them add in your name! This should allow plenty of time for both you and them to pick out something nice for each other for the big day. Make sure you get it to us beforehand though! On Christmas Day report back to your local arena, and from there you will be transported to our North Pole location. Our cabin was unfortunately ravaged by reindeer this past month, but at the rate the repairs are going it should be presentable by the 25th.

All you have to do is say you will be taking part, link your wRHG page, as well as say your location for unwrapping your gift. This will come into play because the people you’re seated around may react to you, and you to them
Nothing too hard, just write two brief stories. First, deciding upon, and acquiring the gift of your choice, and then second, unwrapping and reacting to what you’re given.
DO NOT POST WHAT YOU WILL BE GIVING ON THIS THREAD. All will be submitted through PM.
The first thing that’s due is the acquiring of the gift story, as well as a detailed account of what the gift actually is, including how it’s wrapped. This is due December 7th. Now, I know a week isn’t much time, but I’m not expecting a novel. A few paragraphs will suffice. If you want to write more though, be my guest.
By the 9th, I will have PMed you what your gladiator will be receiving.
At this point, you can collaborate with the people your gladiator will be with, such as mini RPs if you choose. If not, turn in your entry by the 17th so I can pass it to the people around your guy/girl for little reaction insertions. Anything they add will be shown back to you so you can either reject, green light, or add to it. Things MUST BE IN FINAL FORM BY THE 20TH.
Again, submit by PM so I can organize it and have it posted on either Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day, depending on when I can sneak in the five minutes to copy past what I’ve put together.
All submissions will be placed in spoilers with the gladiator’s name being the title of it. These will be organized by location, but only the unwrapping will be posted on Christmas Eve/Day. Who did what will be revealed next year (As in the 1st or 2nd of January) so feel free to take guesses and discuss!
The gift giving takes place in a cabin in the North Pole. Snow is falling outside and the windows are covered in frost. There are three round tables scattered in the building, all of which are made of wood. Additionally, there is the Christmas tree itself, covered in white lights with a bright star at the top. It is in back left corner of the cabin. Next to it on the back wall is the fireplace, complete with burning logs. It is comfortably warm inside. On the right wall is a long table where the milk and cookies are located.
Mistletoe will be dangling close to the ceiling in the center of the room.
The tree has a top hat because screw it, why not.

Table A: Closest to the food and drink
Table B: Closest to the window on the left
Table C: Closest to the door

Depending on how many people go where, tables may be combined, as well as the fireplace and tree. You will be notified if things change. If they do, it will be no later than the 2nd, just because by then I am no longer accepting participants and will know exactly what to expect.
What kind of gift can I give?
Doesn’t matter so long as it doesn’t effect anything cannon. You can give anything from a severed head, to a diamond ring, to a bag of chips out of the vending machine.
I don’t have a wRHG, can I use something else?
Sure, just make sure it’s actually yours and you have a link to something like a profile page. If you link me a novel that you expect someone to read, I’m rejecting your character.
Can I do multiple?
No, I don’t want anyone getting over ambitious and crashing and burning. Someone’s counting on you to do your part, don’t let them down.

There's mistletoe hanging from one of the tree branches.
Because if that's the case, I'm pretty sure
Dante would be standing like, directly under it.
But the fireplace would work too.
I'd actually be very cool with adding mistletoe, but I don't want to confide it to one unwrap area! Maybe in the middle of the cabin hanging down though.
Realise my mistake in typing too hastily, but if crank allows it, he shall be the tree for entertainment purposes.
Actually, I'll give the tree a top hat for him. If anyone wants small things for their character so see of themselves reflected in the decorations I'd be glad to add them.
ALSO QUICK QUESTION: Can our characters have accompanies? (people that come with them)
I'll allow it so long as
- They don't already have a partner
- It isn't more than one
- They play a significant part of who your character is/are important to their development in some way
- Are seated alongside your other character
- They do not overshadow the other characters involved
They will not be receive a gift in the exchange whoever, although they can help your other character in picking one out. They'd be more of a +1 than VIP
You may have noticed that I didn’t really change much from last year and that’s because I really don’t want to throw a wrench in and break the formula. If there are things you’d like to see changed between this and last year’s, I’m extremely open to suggestion, so long as it’s before we get the ball rolling on the 1st.
