Well in fairness Azure, pirates arent really what they were portrayed as either. But at least they were badass manly. Probably the closest adaptation of a true pirates is Assassin's Creed Black Flag, minus the assassins

Also true, though I do also take into consideration their average life span, what they've become today, and the horrid things that happened to their bodies.

But ninjas would have lasted longer then. They worked in subterfuge and dressed normally. Not really sure if assassination was in their regular signature. Pirates might've been more free but they were constantly on the run. It's why none exist anymore (modern rastafarians nonwithstanding). I think ninjas just ceased to exist because they became obsolete in their methods at the onset of technology.

Pirates: Well you dont need to lose 1 eye and leg to be a pirate. A pirate is just a person who steals from ships. There really is not special requirement for being one. But I mean they are the outlaws of the sea.

Ninjas: Well ninjas actually dont wear black clothes. They were very dark blue to disguise at night. They are pretty awesome since they have epic skills and usually do parkour and are like Japanese material arts masters.

I have to say Ninjas are cooler. They get my vote.

Well, pirates have Blackbeard and others. Pirates are free men, freedom is theirs. Steal stuffs from ship and eye patches and leg stick aren't necessary or just myths.

Ninjas have Hattori Hanzo and Iga Ryu. Stealth, assassination and espionage is their thing. I'd say, ninjas.

Alright, I'm going to go ahead and assume the vast majority of the forum is under 30 so if I'm being Conservative with my numbers, I'd say we're mostly Liberal from that line of thought.

So were Pirates.

For one thing, some had health care.
They were fine with being gay.
They were tolerant of each other's religion.
They didn't discriminate by sex, there have been female pirate captains.
And they voted.
