Here it be: http://www.fastswf.com/tCmwAh0

Also, scratch that, put me down for Fury, and whichever category is appropriate.

It would be really unfair if his 3D anim would be compared to all these 2D tho. 3D allows you to have more camera movements which is really time consuming and can be hard on flash and other stuffs that is easier to do in 3D. But hey, not my decision to make as I'm just another participant.

I honestly agree with Reb here. In a 3D animation, you can do all sorts of angles just by moving the camera while in flash you'd have to draw them in manually. This also works for backgrounds. They don't have to draw a BG just right for different angles, they just make it once and use whatever angles they like. 3D also naturally has better animation quality than flash, since it's always tweening. I'm not saying you shouldn't let him enter, but i think you should score him on different standards, like detail and the easing and whatnot. And score him less on things he could easily do like angles. I would imagine that'll make it more fair.

Why should he be judged differently just because he knows how to use a (potentially more) powerful program and you guys cant?

Oh snapple!
Snapple! (Click to Show)
But in all seriousness. I always thought 3d was a lot harder than 2d (Though i have never done 3d animation at all)

Cause from what Stone told me, this is supposed to be a flash competition.
And it's not just about the program, it's about it being 3D. It's far too different in a lot of ways.
Why would you judge two different things in the same way?

the official entry requirements are on the front page, it isn't stated animation software is limited to flash
also, camera movement isn't necessarily easier in 3d than it is in flash, nor is making/animating a 3d stickfigure(completely rigged). idk I feel like you and alpha seagull are undermining the work put into 3d

p.s i'm sure if there is a really big difference than stone/other judges will take into account the capabilities of the animation software :/

Exactly. I'm not saying to judge 3D animations worse really. I'm saying they should judge it based on the amount of actual work put into the anim. So if the person does something cool that even 3D animators will have a rough time with, then yeah he should get points for that. But if he does something that flash animators have a rough time doing but is easy for a 3D anim (like angles and shading), then I think he shouldn't get extra points for that.

Edit: and Alien, I've used Blender (a 3D animating program) before. angles are as simple as moving a camera around.
