It will probably only get you in trouble if your movie crossover interferes with the same film choice of another entrant as the rules say that you can't animate the same fame as any other entrant in your category.

If no one else is animating your "secret cameo film crossover" then it should be fine.

Yeah no one else decided to animate the movie. And honestly I don't think I'll get done by the time its due anyway. Wait, can we turn in late entries with a penalty?

Is it against the rules to make a fellow competitior modify another competitor's file?
Its not like a joint but a modification instead

I think it would be allowed, but only for 30 seconds of the file.

i'm very busy from final tests (i'm going to finish the high school) and must find a job for pay university tuition fee :/

Even if you don't finish the animation in time, you can always finish it at a later stage. It would just simply mean that your finished result won't be considered an official entry.
I'd say just do what you have to. If you need to focus on more important things, then do so.

I'm not encouraging participants to forfeit or anything. I'm simply acknowledging that people have bigger priorities than animation, myself included.
