Team Zenith presents an exciting new recurring tournament: Zenith Open! This will be run bi-weekly in two events, Friday Fight Night and Sunday Scrimmage Series. These events will be relaxed, friendly competition without drama, so come along, good or bad, it's a great place to improve in a chill environment and socialise with the community.

Each week, a time will be announced on this forum thread in EST. If you are not in EST, check Zenith's Event Calendar to convert to your local time or use a timezone converter, for example, this. Players must arrive in the #team-zenith IRC channel at the specified time and declare their participation when requested by the tournament organiser, who will be one of the Zenith Ranks. No prior signup is required (although if you wish, you can state so on this thread just to have a rough approximate). Please prepare adequate time, ideally at least an hour (although the time will vary depending on attendance and format).

Users accessing this off Team Zenith that aren't sure where to access IRC, go to teamzenithtemp.enjin.com/irc and enter, or go to qwebirc.swiftirc.net, write in #team-zenith in Channel and enter. Cheers.

The bracket will be decided solely by the tournament organiser of that time, following one of these three formats:
Double Elimination, Round Robin, Swiss

All matches will be a Bo3 (Best of 3 / First to 2) unless otherwise stated.

Standard prep rules will be applied. If you are unsure, please read this thread.

Results and replays will be posted on this thread as a record, so if you want your shiny name listed, come along, be an Open reg!

Zenith Open Record:

Times as stated below are in EST (-5 UTC).

Friday Fight Night: Hiatus (just gonna take a break for 1 week)

Sunday Scrimmage Series: Hiatus (just gonna take a break for 1 week)

See you there!
- DAZ

P.S. Please leave on this thread what times are preferable for you, ideally all converted into EST for my ease. I'll try to fit everyone at some point.

Edit: Sorry for the double post I thought I was editing it but I made another post.

You made another post

I don't think I can make "Sunday Scrimmage" unless it take 25 minutes.

Being on my phone all the time messes me up, sorry for the triple post by the way.

11/1/15 8PM Sunday Scrimmage Series

Bracket + Results Link

Attendance

DAZ
Pricey
DelawareSykes
RedRiding*
Urghbla*

*Applicant

Synopsis

Had like 9 people at one point but some people showed up that couldn't stay for longer than 25 minutes, few ran because of too many "high ranked players", etc. so we wittled down to 5. We played Round Robin. Nothing noticable, Pricey had to go halfway through. For the next one, I'm definitely looking for more willing players.

Final Placings

#1 ~ DAZ
#2 ~ Urghbla
#3 ~ Pricey / Delaware / RedRiding

GG!

Forgot to post those results on not just Team Zenith's Open thread, but SP General Thread.

Also, times have been updated:

"Times updated for Friday and Sunday! Check it out, it's also automatically converted on calendar. One of them is obviously not designed for US players, the other was in response to those people on Sunday saying they could only do it if it was "25 mins" so I made it a bit earlier."

Say if you can come, cause last week was a blast and we're looking for even more people this time.

Friday Fight Night: 16/1/15 1AM

Sunday Scrimmage Series: 18/1/15 6PM

I can make Sunday, definitely not Friday.

Eugh, can't make either times because they're both way too late for me. Maybe in the holidays I'll be able to do sunday times around then.
