If you haven't listened to either of Tame Impala's albums, do so now. They're both on Youtube in their entirety, start with Innerspeaker first.
Check out Origin of Symmetry by Muse, while you're at it. fucking incredible record beginning to end.

After watching Whiplash I was inspired to find some jazz. Stumbled upon a reddit thread that recommended Soil & Pimp Sessions. Bloody good music. Those who enjoyed Cowboy Bebop or Baccano opening might find it suiting to their taste.
Soil & Pimp Sessions-
Crush
Summer Goddess
Suffocation
Storm
Pop Korn
Avalanche
Funky Goldman
Mirror Boy
Whiplash OST-
Caravan
Whiplash
Too Hip To Retire
Upswingin'
If anyone knows a similar any jazz songs of similar styles. Shoot it this way.

Try Kaizer Orchestra.
here is the song from kaizer that i recently heard
-Mr.Kaizer Hans Constanze Og Meg (Mr kaizer his constanze and me)
-Bon fra Helvete (pray from hell)
-Evig Pint (eternally tormented)
-KGB
-Djevelen Orkester (Devil Orchestra)
-Kontroll Pa Kontinentet (Controll Over Continent)
-En For Ogelet Og En For Meg (One for the organ , one for me)
-Din Kjole Lukter Bensin,Mor (Your dress is smell of gasoline , mom)
-Bak Et Halleluja (Behind Halleluja)
the only reason why you should listen to this band is because this band is unique . thats why
even though you'll probably doesnt understand what are they sayin, you could still enjoy the melody of their song
or you can see the transalation here

Such a sick movie. I replayed that last performance probably +10 times now. I just love the opening to that song when the double bass kicks in.
Thanks for the recommendations. They shall be added to the list!
EDIT: Also I've been doing some more Jazz digging. Found a band called Quasimode. Some of their songs:
One possibility
All is One
Finger Tip
Relight My Fire

Here's a collection of some of the artists I've been listening to for the past month or so. All of the artists in the list below are all part of the future-esque area of electronica that I've really gotten hooked on. I'm sure you'll find a few artists on my list you'll enjoy. :D
Chrome Sparks
Lido
Phazz
Haywyre (Seriously, this guy in particular I can't get enough of. You have to give him a shot if you haven't heard of him.)
Mura Masa
Snakehips
Sam Gellaitry
DIVERSA (He and everyone else part of the Hegemon collective is great. Favorites include Just A Gent, Saturn, Maxx Baer, and the like.)
Pomo
20syl
Lindsay Lowend
Maxo
Team Supreme (The entire crew is good. My favorite artists of the collective include AWE, Mr. Carmack, Goodnight Cody, etc. Take your pick!)
Stwo
Cosmo's Midnight
Wave Racer
Spazzkid (Great producer, great vocalist. Highly recommend.)
Pusher
GEOTHEORY
Cashmere Cat
Also, Mizu mentioned him as well and props to him, definitely give Tennyson a listen. He's an incredibly talented musician who incorporates jazz elements with electronic pieces in his music. If I recall correctly, he's either 17 or 18 now, which is very impressive.
