Honestly I'm done. I can't stand the mess it's in. I'm aware they're making a slow transition, but unless they get their shit together, and actually solve the root of the issues, I'm out.

The only reason why I'm playing at this rate is because of the remaining Premium I have. Once that's all out, I'm done.

People get upset with freejam pretty often, I lurk their forums constantly. I've come to see that their game is stuck in a perpetual alpha status and their player base is always griping. Probably because they're tasked with the incredibly difficult process of trying to allow enough creativity to fulfill their concept for the game, but limiting it enough to make it fair for the less creative people. Think about it for a second, they're trying to balance creativity. Players like me will always figure out what works and abuse it because of said creativity, but I could still lose a bunch of games in a row.

I get why people would get fed up with this game.

It's a moba where you queue up usually solo into a huge team and simultaneously a moba where players can create almost anything and queue up. There's no telling if you're going to win based on how skilled you are or what machine you have built. They might tilt the battle in your favor, but by the games very nature the battle is usually determined while the game is loading. Which can be extremely frustrating.

This means you shouldn't take the game seriously competitively, as in it's not a competitive environment. When I go into the game with this mind-set I find that I enjoy it way more, since win and loss doesn't matter anymore. Yet as always there are those players saying this game is a mess or it's bad now and it's confusing to me.

I mean I remember the days of helium snipers and thruster sticks that could exceed the games speed limitations. I'm not going to pretend this game is only a mess right now, its always been a mess. But I will say this, I have four different robots with different play styles and they all function well enough. So its probably safe to say that the game isn't a complete and total mess. Actually it's a more balanced version than I'm used to.

But I digress, I've only got one question for you.
Now why did you have to go and low rate my thread though?

I didn't low rate your thread. I have no idea what you're talking about. .-.

I don't really consider this a Moba. I consider this as more as a BYO robot third person shooter.
Cause when I played this, it didn't remind me of a moba at all.
I agree with a lot of what the post said. No cover, one game I glitched and just had to stand there.

For the first part of his post it seems like he's having some sort of legitimate server/computer issues with the game. I don't normally have those issues, except for the occasional desynch but that's pretty few and far between.

The rest of the post is mostly him bitching about the way the game has changed. But you posted it in lieu of your own response so I'll respond to it, please allow me to cherry pick a little bit.

So pretty much, I'm the camper player this post is bitching about. I continue to build cool machines each patch because I'm willing to adapt to the changes. Whatever works, I'll figure it out and do it. Yeah I might play this way, but I've built my bots to do it, I like my bots; spent a lot of time on them and I'm totally fine playing a game of tag for the first half of the match.
I acknowledge that you can't just slap a bunch of garbage onto a couple tank treads, roll out into the middle of the map at the start and get shot at right now. That's how the game used to be, but not anymore. If people really miss the golden days of gun beds and the "Rock paper scissors" style of smg, plasma and rails that badly then fine. But good riddance as far as I'm concerned.

Because I was sick of getting obliterated by the sort of robots that don't take any skill or effort to build and lately I've been noticing more and more that my fellow players bots are actually complicated and must've taken a lot of care to build. Which is a good thing.

Even though all they need to do is slap a gun onto a mech leg, technically functional, but not very fun or effective. And this is definitely not usually the case, but I guess I should get to my point...

Posts like that guys are a dime a dozen, on any game development forum. There's always people going in and talking about how much they don't like the new changes, in every game.
There isn't enough people proposing solutions though and I'm getting really sick of all the bitching.

I've noticed teamwork is really all that matters in BA. For the most part teamwork is lacking (mostly because it's almost always just randoms joining into a mishmashed team). However on a few occasions my randoms and I have worked together nicely and won a game in under 10 minutes. Learn to work together with people and you'll dominate.

Do you guys know if the 3 day boost pauses when you log off or does it keep on running?
I spent a whole lotta credits (for my level) to build a walker. And it's pretty dang slow, idk why.

Yeah it's great if you can get a team all on the same page. But sometimes your team scatters to the wind or some people afk, or a guy took an incomplete bot into the game. You never know what you're going to get with the system.

This is further exacerbated by how the developers only allow people to group as high as four people.

Pretty sure your premium counts down real time.

I've currently got 7 days going, trying to get a bot built each day.
