Thanks for the enlightenment, guys. I should have done my research before spewing that in front of adults, sorry.

Mad respect for admitting it though, like seriously.

I would pick up my non-perishables and immediately make haste for the local highschool, which evidently has a fallout shelter.

I would take a selfie with it and post it on my Facebook page so that I would be an icon of freedom forever.

There's literally a river in front of my house. And I live in a small town so I'll just say "EVERYONE!!! I THREW A NUKE IN THE RIVER!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!" I think a lot of them will hear me since they're just outside their house cleaning or just talking to each other or something. Or maybe they'll ignore me and think im crazy.

Maybe you'd have better luck by placing the suitcase on something that can float and letting the river carry it downstream for ten minutes. The depth of the water there would do nothing to weaken a nuke's explosion.

I have to ask: Can a nuclear bomb that can erradicate a city even fit in a suitcase in the first place?

Possible with today's technology though I don't know about nations, aside from the US and the Russian Federation, that possess miniaturized nuclear weapons.

Didn‘t really research thoroughly prior to posting my claims, I‘m sorry.

Aside from wikipedia (Which may be inaccurate), I have yet no evidence to back up what I had posted.

This might be of some interest to you, Hew. In page 13, the journal claims that the Soviet Union did have suitcase sized nukes and that they had thousands of them as recently as 1991. It is written by Amy F Woolf, an expert on nuclear weapons policy for the congressional research service which works directly and exclusively for the US congress.

Well... Considering our car's in the shop and pretty much everyone except my father is well... Let's say athletically disabled.

Best chance would be to tinker with the bomb with the remaining 10 minutes and somehow get lucky. Kinda like those disaster based movie protagonists that magically disable a bomb without prior knowledge whatsoever and seems to dodge every tragedy and survive with a few scratches.

Chances of those happening in real life are slim to none.

Actually it is a big problem considering Pakistan and India are both nuclear powered nations, and they both hate each other.

The Pakis wouldn't dare nuke India because they would need hundreds of thousands of missiles to wipe out a fraction of India's population, while a single nuke is all it would take to turn Pakistan into a biscuit.
