Fountain, as its name suggests grants wishes when the client “tosses the coin in.” No one knows how it rose to power, but it is all too well known in the black markets. Ethics wise, it will remorselessly do whatever is needed by the client, but it holds a very strong sense of honor. In other words, it will never double cross a client or member working there. It actually operates in five different branches; Lead, Legal, Illegal, Defense, and Discipline.
Secretive even to the other branches, this part of Fountain maintains and oversees all other parts. This is so secretive, that only the messengers’ identities are known. And they are only known by the top members of the other branches.
To the common eye, Fountain is a chain of pawnshops sprawled all over several cities although its main base is in RHG city. Ironically though, 94% of the people who work for this part of Fountain think it is completely legit. The higher up people want to keep it this way so that they don’t tell, or worse, get a visit from Discipline.
Under the black market, they will do anything the client says no matter how immoral as long as they pay. They do almost anything, but they specialize in assassinations, abductions, and especially providing or training elite militia.
Defense is a highly elite group that deals with all internal or external threats. Internal wise, if someone sees something they shouldn’t, they will usually warn the person not to talk under threat of Discipline but sometimes they have to (Humanely) put the person down. They will also deal with any internal struggles and betrayals. Although once apprehended, perpetrators are turned in to Discipline. Externally, they have to deal with and eliminate all threats. This is what they elite army is for. It is also worth mentioning, that they have a squad of five hundred elites trained specifically to take down gladiators should the need arise.
Discipline is well known and feared by all other branches except Legal. Anyone who causes any trouble by attacking, rebelling, or just simply breaking a deal is registered for discipline. At which point, the Discipline crew comes in, snatches them, tortures them until they beg to die, continues until they die of the pain, and leaves their unrecognizable body out in he street as a warning for others. Sometimes someone comes along that it too powerful for Discipline. If this happens, they simply call Defense an have them hand deliver the subject for disciplining.
