The community has every opportunity to express their disapproval of a mod currently. We will listen to any complaints and take them into account, but that's only in exchange for the community doing their basic due diligence and alerting us directly to those complaints. Making an off-hand post in a thread does not count as alerting the mods, if a mod was genuinely causing a problem you should contact an admin directly to make sure they know that there is a problem, preferably myself as I am currently the only admin that actively administrates. It's not fair to us if you criticize us for not doing enough when you also don't put in the minimal amount of effort to get the ball rolling. SP is a big site with lots of niche sub-communities and the mods cannot be everywhere or understand the context of everything. They are actively perusing the forums as best they can and may happen upon whatever problem it is that you're talking about, but there's no guarantees so it's best to get our attention for more pressing matters.

I found the rules page really hard to find.

However what I did find really nice about this site is how well it loads on slow internet. I really hope the fast page loading can be kept.

Good thing I've put in a lot of effort to make the new site even faster ;)

You can read about the technical details of it here if you're interested.

I know the site loads fast and it's pretty simple (for now), but a mobile friendly site would be nice.

Yep, the new SP is being designed responsively to fit in both tablet and mobile views so it'll be easier to browse the site on those devices!

Mobile first design, eh? :P

Also it would be nice to see strikethrough as an option for forum text.

On other forums, they usually have more than 3 types of moderators, I was wondering if implementing the "super moderator" class would be something you'd be interested in doing. People always make the common mistake of thinking global and super moderators are the same thing. I would also like to see the "chancellors" for the RHGT section brought back. Visually I have no gripe with the forum the way it looks, it reminds me of they day I joined but with that said I have faith that the new design you have in mind is going to be outstanding.

Also do you foresee an upgrade to 4.2.3?

do you have an idea of what these 'super moderators' would do that's different from what we have already?

"You're posts" button.
That's all I would love.

You mean like a "what's new" that only shows threads you've posted in?

Can't you just go to your profile and click latest posts?

That reminds me, is there anyway to make the search functionality more usable, as in being able to home in on specific posts rather than whole threads?

True but it feels so out of the way...

But it does home in on posts, that's why it's so useless to begin with

It would be nice to have different filters though like "posts" "threads" "users" "animations" something like that

Happened to be no mods or admins on at the time, and this happened: http://i.imgur.com/WMQzIEk.png

A bot that catches multiple similar, same author/ip posts should be implemented.

General forum, by the way.
