Is that her standard beginning jab? 9 frames is kind of ridiculous lol.

Ugh, I'm getting tired of SSBM fanboys getting all mad at me for saying SSBM tournaments are boring. (after a while) All I ever see in SSBM tournaments is the same four or five characters over and over again. At least there's variety in Brawl and Smash 4. It starts to get quite boring, seeing the same 4-5 characters in SSBM fighting endlessly.

I'm going to hate for glory when bayonetta comes out. forget her jab; forget everything, she has an auto 5-hit combo. that's digusting. no hitlag for that bullet thing, and perfect smashes. they need to nerf every dlcboy.

I can see where you are coming from. But when I watch SSBM tournaments I pay attention to how the game physics and stages being abused, and how the characters are played.

You have an awful mindset of the game if you think that, mang. Everyone from Cloud to Ryu to Lucas are no stronger than the rest of the cast. It just seems like that because you haven't learned their weaknesses.
With a 9 frame jab, Bayo will already have trouble covering her whiffed dash attacks or punishing spot dodges. We'll have to see how she is when she's live
And if you're curious what all the dlc character's weaknesses are, I'll totally share them

I like to play cloud and would like to make him my main. Any suggestions?

Maximize your spacing game. Clouds throws are literally awful, so if people shield all your attacks there's not much you can do to punish that's worthwhile. Try not to do stuff that's unsafe on shield and utilize your range and aerials

And try to stay on the stage as much as possible. Cloud's recovery is really bad.

Clouds throws aren't that bad. D-throw combos into side b at low percents and his other throws can send people up in the air for air dodge reads, which cloud exploits the shit out of with uairs and finishing touch.

No wonder they are mad at you.
Also I am pretty sure Cloud is somewhere in the top half of the tier list. There are actually some sucessful clouds in tournament lately, his air game and edgeguard is rediculous.

I'm sorry to say but you have no idea of what you're talking about. There were 8 characters in pax top 8, well above your average. Also, you realize competitive melee is about the players not the characters, right? I can tell Leffen's fox from Armadas and Mangos in almost an instant. The variety in playstyles make up for more than character diversity. You're allowed to find melee tourneys boring but please do your research and don't call other people fanboys when you seem pretty biased yourself right now.
I know you don't have any bad intentions but people will get mad if you actively bash their game without reasoning.

Well, his preferences aren't necessarily wrong, if he likes character diversity, so be it. There's nothing wrong with that. As much as I appreciate different playing styles, I do think diversity adds some spice into the game. He just sounds really salty about it all which makes it kind of abrasive to read. At the end of the day, there will be people who won't appreciate the finer details of the game, and that's just something players have to deal with.
He also said that Brawl had variety and that made me want to take his post less seriously though lol

There is diversity though? Fox, Falco, Falcon, Sheik, Marth, Peach, ICs, Pikachu, Luigi, Jigglypuff, Samus, Ganondorf and even Yoshi have been represented in the past year and I personally find that to be a lot of characters. Sure, some characters are winning more than others but if you're gonna pull out that argument then I might as well say that basically the only characters that have been winning stuff in Smash 4 are ZSS, Sheik and Rosalina. I still do not understand his argument.

read the first post. And surpisingly enough, it's my opinion.

You probably never watch any brawl tournament before. Yet calling others fanboys. sigh
