I'd say a tie gives both writers 4 points since no one won or lost. Anyone agree?

well personally I think that is a bit unfair. maybe half the points? When I wrote I know I was probable going to lose to Hewitt but not expect him to drop out of the tourney. So maybe because TheOrganization is now writing in his place he should inherit half the point not start with none. An im sorry if I butchered your name TheOrganization. And sorry if I sound like a sore loser. I am not trying to be.

I kind of agree with Bucket, actually. I don't necessarily think that Org should get half of them, but maybe 5 and not the challenge points. I feel like inheriting points that came from someone else is a bit meh, but I also don't want him to start with none because that isn't fair either.

EDIT: Looking at the leaderboards, I think you forgot to put in Xate's deduction for being late (Which by the way, I think should be 2-3 points).

Wanted to share my thoughts as someone who's missed two outta three rounds. If I'm late to post and my opponent isn't, then I missed my chance. I failed at putting out a story for that particular genre in the time given, and it's better to just move on. I feel like there's always that pressure to go back and fix up a story from one of the earlier rounds when it might be better just to wait until the end of the tournament.

Otherwise, I feel like I'm mixing genres. Things come out a bit jumbled, especially with the continuity thing I keep throwing about. You've gotta be careful, I guess. This tourney's starting to remind me of college a bit, actually. An interesting... fun... costly... and time-consuming learning experience that you'd better hope you can get something out of. Old me probably wouldn't have posted anything for the last round, let's be real here.

Serious props to everyone involved with this tournament. Still not sure how to feel about points, but really, we're all winners here. Maybe even Hewitt, since it's nice out. :rolleyes:

We really should be encouraging voting in some way. Half of the active contestants aren't even voting, which they should be doing if they expect others to read and vote on their own threads. It's kinda disappointing :u

After much thought, I've decided to drop out. A lot of opportunities are arising that were not around at the start of this that I'm simply not willing to pass up. I'm glad I was able to at least get one story in, but the fact that I can't seem to manage another is signaling to me that it's time to drop all hope and pretense that I'm still somehow in the race. I also feel like I came here with something completely different in mind from everyone else involved, and I'm starting to forget what exactly that... was. In any event, it's time for me to move on. It's been fun.

I'm not even going to try and make excuses for suddenly not participating in this. I'm a forgetful piece of shit. Life hit me like a freight truck and I have full time college, and recently got a second job. I had a day off of both jobs somehow today and decided to visit the forums I haven't had time to browse, and then saw this and realized that I haven't participated in months and didn't even give notice.

So, that being said, there's no way I can be a part of this competition with how busy my life got out of nowhere. Sorry for not letting you know and totally forgetting I was even in this. Been browsing through your stories today though and I gota say there are some good reads in there.
