I really don't want to shut this game down, but it seems like we're getting a slew of inactives again. Nish for example disappeared after last weekend.

I was already grasping at straws with replacements as it is, and booting people at this pt might make it unfavorable for either side. So. I'm forced to continue this if it is alright with you. When Round 2 comes around, I will have to either make a few tweaks or close this thread for awhile as there is simply not enough people.

Please, if you can all be darlings, PM the inactive ones (the ones who haven't posted since start of Day 3) and just get a pulse going. I'll be doing the same soon.

I don't know man.

Like, I don't mind discussing but the current concept of the game really makes it hard to. Like, if I were to discuss who to give my gifts, that would just be openly giving away to the Skrull's who not to attack and since that's the only thing I have, I can only resort to PM's but the thing is, I have no idea who's an Avenger or who's a Skrull because so far, there hasn't been any solid information at all. When I PM Exile, he doesn't reply back(Only once when I wanted to confirm the gift I should send) but other than that, I'm in the dark here.

How you use your power is only a tiny part of the game though, if you have no idea who is Skrull and who is Town and all these abilities have done nothing to give us information, then stop relying on the powers and start playing like a traditional vanilla townie who can only rely on normal hunting methods.

As for discussing where your gifts should go, have you considered using them as bait or bluffing where they'll go?

That's one thing that happens a lot in games lately. It's hard to get a group that will stick it through to the end. Even my simple musical chairs game had 2 deaths near the endgame simply from inactivity.

I feel like lots of inactives would make it unfair for the town. I doubt the Skrull will have any inactives because antagonist roles are extra fun, so we're going to have a tiny town team against a full skrull team.

Yes, I have actually.

I do understand that the powers aren't the whole game but they are part of it. I'm just giving out my 2 cents on partly why I don't discuss that and probably this is why the others won't speak up.

Yes, but this mafia game has alot of the olde Regulars except for Mantha, Apex, and squidd. I know for a fact that everyone in this game is able to post and play. Maybe its a flaw in the way this game is designed; like for example, because Cap America is an Innocent role, the town is shut down because they're all waiting on his movements. Maybe a smalltown isn't so viable to this forum after all.

Still, I will not shut this game down if the relevant people involved are still innit, because I am still getting the requisite PMs at night. I am just going to assume that the town is not at all active in the physical presence sense, which isn't really my problem if that's how the majority of the players want it to be. The way it is, I will just keep Random-lynching until the game state ends if no one will lynch anyone in the Days, then you can all evaluate how crappy this experience has been for you.

Proceed, guys.

yeah I've received two PMs so far regarding night actions from the previous night, I'll give it a few more hours before I start prodding people to cooperate.

I've informed Hewitt on Facebook but since I'm online temporarily, I don't know if you guys have heard, but there are major floods where I live, the likes of which we haven't seen in a century. Things are not great here at all. I may not be able to fully apply myself to the game. I'll leave it up to Hew and Exile to decide whether I should bow out or if a few posts every few days will suffice.

Okay guys, so as I understand it lynching someone who actually looks sus is better than lynching an inactive, but lynching an inactive is better than having a random lynch forced on us. So I've gone through and counted how many posts people have made (and made rough notes about whether they were useful or not) and compiled them here for your discussion!

Nish:
27 posts, all pretty good when it comes to contributing ideas, he's really only gone MIA D3 because of the floods he's in.

Devi:
10 posts, 8 of which were on D1, so he started strong but pretty much bailed when his exams came around.

Lami/Devour:
13 as Lami, 4 as Devour. Lami was at least trying to contribute D1 but most of his posts D2 were useless. Devour does seem to be helping though.

Zero:
52 posts! Enough said.

Apex:
12 posts. Pretty much everyone of these are apologies for inactivity or idle chit-chat about the game...

Mantha:
17 posts. Her D1 game was strong but some of her posts on D2 were about night ending early.

Envoy:
16 posts. Half of these seem to be contributing to the town, the other half are chit-chat like Apex's posts.

Raptor:
7 posts. 2 D1, 2 D2, 3 D3... Whats strange is that he posted telling us Squidd and Lami were the most suspicious when they were both beating him for activity, and on top of that he voted for neither...

Boomerang:
10 posts. They seem to be pretty average in regards to helping, they're not great, but they're not bad either.

And yes, I'm not on that list, self evaluations are silly :P

Wow, that must have taken a lot of your time. Thanks man. I'll go ahead and give off my thoughts on this, so you guys can see where I stand.
Nish:

No problem.

Devi:
10 posts, 8 of which were on D1, so he started strong but pretty much bailed when his exams came around.

Eh, leaves me off as "OK". He hasn't said or done anything that makes me suspicious.

Lami/Devour:
13 as Lami, 4 as Devour. Lami was at least trying to contribute D1 but most of his posts D2 were useless. Devour does seem to be helping though.

I wanted to lynch Lamitrov along with Squidd but since he got replaced by Devour, I will have to either scrap that or postpone.

Zero:
52 posts! Enough said.

I don't remember posting this much.

Apex:
12 posts. Pretty much everyone of these are apologies for inactivity or idle chit-chat about the game...

He is not suspicious but a candidate of lynching due to his inactivity, knowing that he has to dedicate time to this game before joining.

Mantha:
17 posts. Her D1 game was strong but some of her posts on D2 were about night ending early.

I agree.

She has told us that she is having an anxiety attack but still, if ever no discussions or anything pops out, she will be a candidate for lynch.

Envoy:
16 posts. Half of these seem to be contributing to the town, the other half are chit-chat like Apex's posts.

+1 for his Ant-Man probability map.

Other than that, doesn't really leave me off an impression.

Raptor:
7 posts. 2 D1, 2 D2, 3 D3... Whats strange is that he posted telling us Squidd and Lami were the most suspicious when they were both beating him for activity, and on top of that he voted for neither...

Eh, he did?

Boomerang:
10 posts. They seem to be pretty average in regards to helping, they're not great, but they're not bad either.

He hasn't left any notable impression.

And yes, I'm not on that list, self evaluations are silly :P

Why don't we just lynch someone who posts just for the sake of posting? They can always justify themselves.

Sorry that I left for a day or two guys, I got busy with seeing my friends and stuff but now I'm here and ready to contribute. I agree with the theories that Jelly and Raptor were talking of before, and I think that's the best theory we can give at the moment considering all the possibilities.

As for inactivity, I think it's because a lot of the times the old users who are seasoned in this kinda beat the new guys to the punch. They pretty much say everything that needs to be said and it results in an inability to contribute unless it's an accusation/bandwagon. Added onto the fact that the structure of the game kind of makes it so there isn't much of anything to talk of aside from suspicions and what happened the night before makes it hard to hold up a conversation with everyone.

That being said, I do think Raptor needs to explain himself in terms of his reasoning for posting so little. I don't really know his situation, so I'm genuinely curious.

P.S. I evaluated you Jelly, 30 posts. I think it was pretty obvious that you're one of the main contributors to the game.

Thanks for the summary Jelly.

Following your list I would say that the likely candidates for lynching today are either Raptor or Devi. Besides inactivity their powers aren't exactly high tier and we can live without too much hurt if they were gone. I.e. Our Skrull hunting task force is still in tact.

I'm edging towards Raptor as I think Devi and Zero can work together to access thay euthanize ray.

So I guess my theory about Mantha isn't worth looking into then? :(
Why vote for Raptor? It's pretty natural to deflect blame when under fire. Anyone would do it, and everyone does. They think, "I'm innocent and I know it. So the only reason that guy would want me dead is if he's mafia... right?" And the finger goes elsewhere. Especially if the fingers are pointed for vague reasons that are hard to defend against.

Until someone properly explains it away, my suspicion is still on Manthur. I have a feeling in my gut, and all the other options are too unlikely. I would feel weird voting for them despite a 90% chance they're innocent.
