Oh wow I'm sooo gonna need my sleep. Finished this on my late night just because haha. I'm pretty proud how this one turned out: http://sta.sh/02cpzn49xf94
Based this on my own self-preference (as how I did the punch by my own and noted the motion in mind), also looked around google images to search "punch frame by frame" to understand it more.
Here's the pic I used, notice the feet motion during the strong punch. The right foot (from the figure's view) just stay on their initial place for footing point, almost not moving at all.

Although it's good to look for some references, I don't recommend to respect them.
It should be just that: references. Something to guide you through some work.
For your anim, is I only saw a couple of flaws.
You still have some issues with anticipation lol
Anticipation it's not the amount of time it takes to get into the execution of the punch (meaning: Spinning an arm around for a couple of seconds it's okay for a cartoony punch, but when looking for a realistic punch [with realistics physics, I mean], it takes more than just spinning your arm to take impulse. maybe he could lean his body backwards while spinning his fist, but the point is that anticipation is not only about what [punching, kicking, etc] is he gonna do it but also about how is he gonna do it [strongly, quickly, slowly, etc])
but the punch overall is okay. look at his back foot. It's moving like crazy xD try to fix that, also add some easing to the end of the punch, after he breaks the brick.
And a last advice: Forget about V-cam when you're learning/practicing. It doesn't look better, it looks less worse
the fuck is that?
This means that it doesn't improves your animations, it just covers your flaws. that way you can't learn from them. first focus on learning everything before adding V-Cam or effects. If it looks good being raw (no BG, effects, V-Cam, etc), imagine how good it'll get when you add all of those things? :)

@Kodoku: Yeah, it's just my references after all. Doesn't mean everybody else should use that one (unless I got my wordings too much there, then my bad XP)
Gotta admit I'm still in need for anticipation practices haha. I just watched this video and that truly conveys about anticipating as one of 12 principles of animation (gotta recommend it for those who are still in need). But I'm thinking if the guy in my anim pulled himself to the back more before punching, he'd not notice the actual target which is the brick over there and calculating his movements properly. But that's just me.
Feet look pretty OK to me, because apparently they're also shaking when the guy's spinning his arms (tried that to myself too lol). Again, personal preferences.
I'll consider the V-Cam deletion for my next unrusts since I really like using it. Thanks a lot for the comments, man.
@GMR: I finished this in my 2:40 a.m. and it's already Nov 21st here haha. Go figure.

I think using yourself as a reference for animating is an excellent idea. For me, the animation looks really good. Loved the simplicity and color scheme of your background.
But, there's a catch.
And don't worry, it's not anticipation again lol.
Right after the stickman makes contact with the brick, he seems to pull himself backward. His fist doesn't seem to actually go through the brick as it breaks.
To know what I'm saying, check this video out on breaking bricks ~ in slow motion ~

Okay here's a new thing that we'll try to follow, alright?
If you're gonna draw anything other than the subject of the challenge, you must make sure to finish it completely.
So for example, trees. After you draw the outline, COLOR them.
Cool?
Go!

I like the video there XD I was trying to look for normal punch instead of that karate styled one, but no luck as of now.
And yeah, was thinking the guy would pull himself back after the "seemingly one framed punch" but I think I did it too fast haha. So are you saying the fist should just stay there after the punch? Cheers for the comment, dude.

Wait, I almost don't see the point from this statement. Is this a new challenge, or the condition that we should do for our next challenge attempts? I thought people came here to do mainly the challenge part only haha
Also S.A. I can't believe you missed my 3rd challenge part again in the frontpage. Did I do unknown mistakes to you ;u;

Think of it in this way- the stickman is aiming to punch a point that comes after the brick, giving the effect that after he makes the contact, his arm goes through the brick.

It's optional, which is why I said try.

Sorry about not noticing again, it was late night so I wasn't really in the best form haha. Added now.

Still waiting lol
I'll come up with the next challenge shortly.

Actually kinda forgot about this. ;)
And not going to be around tomorrow so if I remember at night tomorrow, I'll whip one up.
