Honestly, the true nature of a mafia games always are in the favor of of the killing roles, specifically the mafias themselves. Unless the town knows what they are doing, which is most unlikely, they are always in the losing side, and that kills away the game easily. A little bit of baiting or misleading shit can throw the game off instantly. I mean, if you want to play mafia just play town of salem anyway.
You are the reason Hewitt doesn't want to run mafias. Such sweeping generalisations. As well as this, over dozens of mafias, reads on people's messages can be read much, much clearer. For a basic example, "burden of proficiency" is someone who is very good at catching mafia - so if he one game he doesn't, suspicion is placed on him for not performing well from a town perspective.
@Hewitt The problem is, I don't imagine mafia vets will move off their standard forum, whether it be mafiascum/TL/K etc. I certainly wouldn't (so I probably can't bring contacts). So, rip.
Got a linkie to the one you're running right now? Curious to see the level of play.
But yes, new players = no idea wtf they're doing
Slightly experienced players = bussing is a good strat (???)
is kind of what I've come to expect.
The greatest weapon in mafia is information. Nothing more, nothing less. Everything else is merely a pre-text to this.
