Chubs was snapped out of his thoughts from the glare of the computer screen.
"Next thing I know, this is going to be a cliche I learn more than I want to moment. But who cares."
He tapped yes, and sat back, ready for anything to pop up.

He notices the scars. Something resonates inside of him. "Well, there's a reason everyone calls me Nil. Hearing my own name... I learned when I was young, it's meant to mean somebody who was strong. When I learned of the origin of my name, that it was from a man who committed suicide after being accused of burning down his people's homes, accused of being a tyrant.... Sometimes, I think it's better to be nothing than to become a monster. I know what monsters are like." He rubs his throat as he says this. "And... I think you do too."

A video opened up on screen, a list of documents opened up on screen.

Nurse turned back, her normally emotionless face was somewhere in between anger and despair.
"I'm going to my monster's wedding," she admitted as she rubbed her own neck, "So what would that make me then?"

Nil looks out the window for a few moments, before answering.

"The same as me. Broken."

"Luckily...you're more like Maddie then me..."
Turning around she brushed her hand through her hair, "Good Night, Nil"

"Good night, Nurse," he says. "I'll still be telling you those jokes tomorrow." He lies down, staring at the ceiling, not trusting himself to go back to sleep.

It was night already, yet Robert could not bring himself to sleep. Robert sighed, before shifting his head, to check the entire room. Robert did not see all of his dorm mates inside, but that surprisingly didn't stand up to search for them.

Robert was too lazy today, but he also wanted to do something to stall himself from sleeping. After a few minutes he finally gave in, allowing himself to sleep.

"Please I don't want to see them again," Robert muttered, hoping if at least someone could hear him and grant him that wish, but that was highly unlikely.

He then closed his eyes, falling asleep. Robert slept quietly for a while, then he suddenly began dreaming of a gun and his family, covered with blood.

"I guess it would be proper to start with the first."

While the others were sleeping peacefully, Chubs was sitting at one of the most powerful computers he had ever seen.
"Yep, let's begin."
He clicked Entry one.

"I, uh...Where do I start..." Chi sat on bed, in front of Pascale, then got up, and then sat again after a moment, still rotating her imaginary "ring". Everything she wanted to say, just disappeared from her head. "The thing is that...I, um...Well, I thought about it, and figured that... that it'll be easier for both of us if I just tell you instead..." Chi started stuttering, as she was going from one unfinished sentence to another. Her voice and gestures became more and more nervous with each spoken word. "...I mean, you'd figure it out eventually by yourself so, uh... What I want to say is..." She was loosing it, and suddenly funked it. "...Your hair...your hair looks really nice today... NO! that's not what I wanted to... I mean, yes, they do look good...probably... don't get me wrong!"

This is a disaster. As hard as Chi tried, she just couldn't force herself to say it. It's a whole different story, if someone just manages to see through her disguise, or she just goes with the flow of a moment, as it was with Nil. Here, she had to be honest, and admit it in a face to face situation, willingly. Something that she haven't done, and lived against for past seven years now. She let out a quiet growl of frustration, when she covered her face with her hands.

"Alright the thing is that...I...I can't see you right now...I can't see that room, I-I can't see what is outside, I can't even see myself... I... can't see anything. All I know, is what Aiko tells me... Only because of him I was, and I am able to pretend like that... And I'm really sorry for that but...You should know by now, what Im saying, Pascale..." Even though, the most important part was said, Chi still couldn't utter these particular words... Her eyes were slowly welling up with tears, and she held her breath, awaiting Pascale's response. Her face pale like a hospital's wall, Chi was about to break again. When she left the shelter of her biggest lie, she lost her "toughness" somewhere along the way as well...

This short moment of awkward silence, was only interrupted by a short buzz, coming from Chi's pocket, her phone...

In my pursuit of this this, the holy grail of computing, I have sacrificed everything, my finances, my friends, my family, and yet there is no nobler cause then this. To bring theory and research to fruition in this world and ultimately change it, this is the dream of any scientist.

Today, we have finally manufactured the first true solid state qubit, the result of an entangled pair of Silicon-28 Isotopes. It has the ability to exist without a constant supply of power, and appears to correctly match our predictions of quantum logic results. Granted it is a single qubit, its only few nanometers and already more powerful than most handheld calculators.

The main issue is the method of manufacturer. This single qubit has already used 15% of or budget costing around 780 million and 3 years to make. Furthermore, as this was the third attempt in creating it, the current method is not viable for the computer system. More research is needed

"Chi...I."
Pascale lept from her bed and immediately hugged her.
"Chiii...I'm soo sorry," she bawled tears streaming from her eyes, "I didn't know...I'm sorry I didn't notice. How could I have been so stupid?!"
Pascale felt Chi's phone ring. Wiping the tears from her eyes she stood back and then, without warning, dug her hand into Chi's pocket and retrieved her phone for her.
"Umm...here! I can help!" she nervously claimed handing her the phone.

Back in Nil's apartment, Nurse nonchalantly lounged on the couch reading another medical journal. Her hair was still down, falling off her shoulders, and the only thing she was wearing was a white towel tightly wrapped around her. As well as the scars on her arms, a few scars ran up the sides of her legs.

Nil gets out of bed, some bags under his eyes. He'd been unable to fall back asleep after the events of the night, and the grey morning had served as a warning for his alarm clock, which he turned off instantly. He goes to take a shower, before getting dressed in his usual attire. Heading downstairs, he takes note of Nurse's apparel, blushing a touch but otherwise being less troubled than usual. He heads into the kitchen. "Anything in particular you'd like for breakfast, Nurse? I'm pretty decent when it comes to cooking."

Nurse took the lollipop out of her mouth.
"I'm fine with this, Nero. Are you feeling alright?"

In the Kitchen, Nil could already find a full course breakfast of a ham and cheese omelette, bacon, a wheat muffin, and porridge.

He rubs one eye, a slight smile on his face. "Tired, but I've been worse. This is quite the spread." He makes himself a plate, and heads back to sit beside Nurse. "Is it really that bad to be called Penny?"

Nathaniel woke up with a start, the alarm on his phone buzzing and making a raucus. It was louder than usual due to being in a closer vacinity to him. He picked it up and shut off the alarm and looked at his notifications to see that Chi never texted him back. Something must've been really troubling her and she just doesn't want to talk about it. he guessed, it wasn't his place to pry anyways. He dressed and washed, heading to the kitchen to make breakfast. After it was eaten and the dishes washed, he led his siblings outdoors and instantly felt heavier due to the humidity. He fiddled with the collar of his shirt as he sighed. "Great..." He handed his siblings off to the chaperone and walked back in. He took his collared jacket off and put his backpack on. Nathaniel decided not to skateboard as the fog made it too dangerous and got onto the trolley.

Hesitantly taking her phone back from Pascale, she actually put it back in her pocket. "Please don't ever do that again..." She sighed. What Pascale just did, was comparable to a wake-up slap. "Lets just keep the things between us, like they were, ok? Please... I...I'll ask you for help if I need it..." Without saying anything more, she took her towel, and left the room. She took a long shower, after which she came back, and went to sleep, making sure to take off her lenses first.

The next morning, she woke up as early as ever, went through her morning toilet, and then went to the cafeteria for her coffee...and maybe some food this time... Today, she didn't want to bother Pascale even more than usually.
