"Only family calls me Penny now...from Madeline or Sarah, it's fine cause they where there for me. Ah..."
Nurse slid of the couch and tied her hair in its familiar bun.
"Speaking of Madeline, she's going to be really cranky this morning." admitted Nurse as she poured herself a glass of milk.

Smiling happily, Pascale sat down next to Chi eagerly. On her tray was a double serving of all the food filled with all the breakfast food and a few extras.
"Good morning Chi! Here I've got you breakfast!"

"And only adults call me Nero," Nil says. "Which I guess is funny in a way. Being called Nil is somehow less bothersome." He slowly eats. "I still owe you a joke, though, don't I? I'm not really much of a comedian, so I probably won't come up with a good one. Let's see... an alchemist was working in his lab when he fell asleep and had a dream. In the dream, a voice told him 'Come forth to the willow tree on the lonely hill, and I shall teach you the recipe for eternal life.' The alchemist awoke and left immediately. Unfortunately, he came fifth, and instead of the recipe for eternal life, he got a pet rock."

"Heh, finally, something interesting."
Chubs felt akin to the scientist. He had sacrificed everything to drive something to completion, and Chubs himself had done so as well.
"Let's move on."
He clicked entry 2.

"Um...Thanks...I guess...You didn't had to..." Chi grimaced slightly, but her forced smile was still a dominant expression. After Aiko told her, what Pascale brought, she took a portion of scrambled eggs and bacon, with toasts. She began to eat slowly, actually ending up with stabbing her food with a fork more, than actually eating it. At one point, she got up, and headed to the counter, to get herself some more coffee, this time not from vending machine.

ENTRY 2:
Upon mere happenstance my assistant discovered an incredible property of the solid-state qubit. While its production is incredibly expensive, by simply a high enough amount of energy, a virtual qubit is collapsed by the the original entangled pair itself. This virtual qubit appears to be massless despite its energy usage possibly violating law of conservation of energy. It seems more likely that its simply impossible to measure.
Using nuclear power we are able to create about 10 qubit pairs, which already gives us computing power that exceed most modern computer systems. Once we hit this threshold however, the amount of energy we add to the system seems no longer has an effect of creating particles. My assistant ran the calculations and discovered that the energy requirements per virtual qubit increases exponentially.
Unfortunately, as soon as power levels drop beneath the each pairs threshold it spontaneously evaporates back into nonexistence. While we are now able to develop the architecture set to actually use the qubit chips power, this workaround does not solve the problem of portability. Furthermore, the power requirements are barely sustainable as is. More research is needed.

Nurse covered her mouth to try and stop her self from spitting out her milk. Quickly swallowing it, and taking a deep breath, she once again regained her composure.
"Don't strain your self Nil, your still a kid, plenty of time to come up with jokes...Besides, I'm definitely an adult even if Madeline really isn't," she said as she headed into the bathroom.
===
"Chi, Good Morning...I see you've already gotten your coffee. It's detrimental to your health you know." she said with a smile.
Agatha took a cursory look back at the table to see her sister there eagerly and patiently waiting.
Suddenly, Agatha frowned and her eyes remained fixed on Pascale. "You told her didn't you? Why?

"At least I got you to laugh again," Nil says. "Though, I can't much say it's too great a payoff for next to no sleep." He finishes his food, and begins doing the dishes, taking stock of the ingredients left in the fridge, freezer and cupboard.

Chi's eyelid slightly twitched when she heard a familiar voice.
This day is starting off just great...
She turned to Agatha, and took a sip from her steaming cup. "We're roommates, friends, and spend quite some time with each other...She'd figure out sooner or later... I was just hoping to make things easier for both of us this way." She said bluntly, and slightly frowned as well. "Besides, after your..."performance" I realized how pointless it would be to keep it a secret from her..." She sighed, took another swig and asked. "Wanna sit with us?" Without actually waiting for response, she made her way towards the table.
Im really starting to hate myself and my life decisions...

Agatha nodded and proceeded to join them.
"Aggie!" cheered Pascale in a mix of uneasy and joyfulness, "Bonjour!"
"And good morning to you, Pascale..." said Agatha with a smile.
"I'm sorry, I didn't intend for this. I don't know if you should have told her." tapped out Agatha in Morse.
Seeing Chi lift up her mug, Pascale sprung to action.
"Chi do you need-"
"Pascale, how do you like Kadic Academy?" interjected Agatha.
"Huh...I ummm...well It's a bit different then I expected."
"Do tell..." proded Agatha as she feigned interest.
"Perhaps, I was too forward. I apologize for that."

"Ner- Nil, It's been fun but don't you think you should be getting to school?" suggested Nurse from behind the bathroom door, "You could always ask your neighbor to lock up for you."

"I'll be going to school shortly," he says. "Though, even as a member of the staff, I'm unsure how I feel about leaving you alone in my house, Miss Penny. To be honest, you're the first person I've had over, and it was due to a potential medical emergency. Aren't hosts supposed to see their guests out or something?"

"Not your fault... It was inevitable...I think..." Chi tapped back.
And even though I know that, I keep doing this, and keep trying... She kept moving her food around on plate with a fork, lifting it to her mouth only from time to time. Listening to their conversation, she was just waiting for the bell to ring, so that she could leave. Hopefully until that happens, sisters will remain focused on each other.

"Well then you're going to be late," mocked Nurse as she popped a lollipop in her mouth, "See you at school Nil."

"You say that but I can tell its already driving you apart."
"Hey Pascale, can I talk to for a moment?"
"Uhh sure..."
"In private, It's about Dad."

"If I'm unlucky," he says with a slight grin. "I'd rather not make it a business of getting injured." He heads out to check on Miss Agatha again, her assuring him that her granddaughter will be there that night, him promising her he'll stay with her after club until her granddaughter arrives. With that dealt with, he heads to school, going directly to class and apologizing for his tardiness.
Technology class wasn't particularly of much interest for Nil. It was always his weaker subject, given that he wasn't exactly tech savvy, barely having interactions with technology aside from a radio and his cell phone.

Chubs still went chronologically, ignoring the fact that he was going to miss school.
"Kick me out, I don't care."

Nathaniel got to school in a huff, fanning himself with a notebook he took out of his backpack. He was relieved to get into the building and relax with the air conditioning. The boy quickly made his way to class as the cafeteria was clearing out and sat down at his respective desk. He looked at the teacher of the day and nearly blurted out, "Ninja lady!" But kept his cool, as no one else would know what in the world he was talking about due to the time reversal. She seemed to be the math teacher and Nathaniel sighed, he never liked math, he understood it well enough but it was never the most enjoyable topic to cover. Nevertheless, he opened up his notebook and pulled out his pencil case and waited for her to call attendance and then begin the class.

ENTRY 3:
It has been awhile since I have made another report. Approximately 9 months as opposed to the first two entries which were within a few weeks of each other. My assisant suggests a time stamp system and is in the process of modifying the computer system in doing so. In the meantime, she's discovered some interesting properties of the Xanadu Computer System using the quantum chipset. Billion of calculations can be done in parallel per second with the maximum amount of qubits, but by decreasing the power usage by 90% we can achieve the same level of performance in days. This drastically increases the efficiency of the overall system.
My assistant has also developed a new program in the system that can focus the energy into a point and using the quantum core, temporarily manipulate all the matter in the localized space into a cold plasma that changes its properties based on the inputs given by the system. In a sense, it is programmable matter and I theorize it is a form of quark-gluon plasma. Unfortunately, it appears that in order to make really use of this "Virtualization" requires substantially more processing power.
This "Virtualization" process is much easier to create then a qubit pair as the the affected area depends on the processing power rather than on the energy usage. Perhaps if we could use it to artificially increase the Xanadu Systems processing power we could bypass the need for more qubits. That being said feedback loops hardly ever have end well. More testing is needed.

"Now then, one more thing class, we're executing class Project 3. I will alert you of all of the parameters via email, but in the interim I suggest you confer with your binary components."
Agatha raised her hand without hesitation.
"Ms. Basil, I wasn't here for the first semester so I do not have a partner."
Ms. Basil stroked her chin and looked over the class roster.
"Hmm, quite true Agatha. With regard to this class's protocol, you are a new variable."
Pondering over the list, she came to a strange unfamiliar name.
"Vath...Drakin? Is there any one named Vath Drakin?" she asked earnestly.
A confused murmur rang through out the class room as the students discussed the name, nobody seemed to have heard of it.
"Well...Nero, It seems this Vath Drakin was marked as your project counterpart...This is probably a system error. A quick patch of this is working with Agatha so, I'll pair you two together. Luckily this shouldn't be an issue."
Agatha winced for a second, but then smiled.
"Thank you...Ms. Basil."

Ms. K was in a terrible mood.
"Good morning class. Pop quiz," she grumbled as she produced a magical stack of torturous paper, "Quizzes."
With dead eyes resembling that of her sister, Ms. K slammed multiple stacks of paper on the her desk, ten separate stacks in total.
"When you finish one, pick up the next and so on. Try to do as best you can and as much as you can until class is over. If you have any questions...read the problem again."
Without further ado, Ms. K began a sudoku puzzle.
