"Yeah sure, just...give me a moment..." Chi with a deep frown, was still browning through her skills' list.

"If only this thing was in Braille or something..." It was embarrassing for her to admit, how such simple thing as reading, was bringing her so much trouble. Of course, she still remembered how to read properly, except that now, it was much harder and slower process for her. The pressure of time, and raising frustration didn't help at all as well.

"Okay, whatever, I'll take care of it later..." Chi didn't read the whole thing eventually, often skipping a word or two, to have at least a general idea, of what this whole thing is about. She then spun both of her weapons, and threw them at one of the charging orbs, in a quick succession.

"Nathaniel, I think we should dodge! Go left!" Nil rolls to the right of the laser walls, preparing to move again as he doesn't like the look of that charging Megatank. Likely, it was using the first two as a decoy to get a hit instead. Still, it was good to know that If they took enough damage while charging, they had to back off for a bit. It may end up being useful in dealing with the rest of them, giving them to time to take one down whilst another recovered. He also now knew that whatever was up with his poisoning ability, it didn't seem like blocking it would be enough to stop it, and these guys didn't seem able to remove it like the Fire Woman. So he just needed to hit the others until they pulsed as well...

What they needed now was the timing of the attacks, and their recovery time.

Bob sprinted back, and tried to get cover, but then decided not to.
He began to concentrate, building up pressure and energy, then looked at the megatanks, and mentally released.

Blankly staring at Robert as he walked away out of sight, a slight smile trickled onto Sora face. Once Robert had passed out of his vision, he stepped back into the trees again, making his way to the exact same clearing as before.

Phase one is complete, initializing connection... 303-542... accepted. Welcome back, user.

Going through the mechanical thought process was tiring, but Sora didn't mind as long as the headache afterward was minor. Sitting in the middle of the clearing, he sat down with his legs crossed in a meditative position.

Closing his eyes and focusing on recharging his thought process, Sora simply waited for the time being. With Robert taken care of, there was simply nothing else to do until the 2nd program completed.

"Ow...my ankle," complained Lyora silently as she dragged herself off the grass, the blaze had spread across the entire dormitory and fire fighters were struggling to put it out. Meanwhile, Police officers scrambled across the area seemingly looking for something.

Lyora attempted to play off her injury as best she could, but the officer wasn't buying it. Without hesitation, he hoisted her up in his arms like a princess and carried her to the ambulance.

Nil managed to skirt both dangerous laser walls, but Nathan, Chi, and Chubs weren't so lucky. The charging megatank closed its shell, stopping the charge, and the other three followed suit, rolling into a wall like formation. The poisoned one and damaged one remained closed while the other two began charging again.

"I do," Nil says. Taking a quick breath, he rushes at one of the charging Megatanks and stabs is straight in its center, slashing upwards after he pierces it. Even if these things could turn and he was hit by the other, he'd hopefully deal enough damage to shut this one down for now.

"Nathaniel! If you can move, get Chi and Chubs to the tower, quick! They're the only two who actually know how to work things in there, and I don't think now is the time to take a crash course!"

Chi was still too distracted by the "menu window" to do a proper dodge, eventually getting hit by the red wall. Staggering back, She actually expected worse... Hearing Nil's call, she yelled back

"Im fine! Im fine!" Calculating her options, she recalled back to her memory, one of the "skills" that she just have read. "Guys...im making a run for it..." announcing that, she strapped her blades to her back, and readied herself.

"I really hope i got this thing right..." And with that cheerful thought, she sprinted forward, sticking to the left side of the clearing, with an intention to pass the Megatanks' formation from there. All she was focusing on right now, was running. Quickly gaining speed, she suddenly felt a funny, yet empowering feeling in her whole body. Her speed doubled, and her whole silhouette got covered in blue sparks, leaving a light blue trail behind her. Chi felt alive, and an unintended smirk appeared on her face.

"Badum tsss..." Nathaniel pantomimed playing a drumset with his fingers. He coughed as he staggered to his feet. "Best get a wooh!" He watched as Chi sprinted past him in a blue blur. "Holy crap!" He watched her mad rush straight at the formation. "Hey Chubs can you throw cards at the one charging?" He gestured over to the one Nil wasn't focusing. He himself just planned on focusing on the enemies and shoving Chubs out of the way if the situation warrants it. He couldn't block them nor could he help Chi out in any way for now. "Really wish my skill thingie will fix itself..."

Nil managed to successfully attack the charging one on the edge, but it didn't glow green and black like he hoped. Instead, it closed up and rolled back, as another megatank flanked Nil and rammed him from the side. The other Megatank pivoted and fired at Nathan, Chubs and Chi but before it hit them Chi suddenly started glowing and the laser wall imploded, immediately destroying the Megatank.

"Whoo!" cheered Pascale, pumping her fists into the air, "Ah...I mean umm, Good job Chi!"

Nil rolls with the attack, groaning a bit. "Ok, that was pretty unpleasant. Looks like that bastard didn't get poisoned, either, but at least they really will stop attacking. Hey, Nathaniel, Chubs. There're three of them and three of us. Like our odds?"

"If they open up, but I don't think we can do any damage to them when they're all shut up like that." He closed his umbrella and waved it around like a baseball bat. "So then we gotta wait for them to open."

Seeing another wall approaching, Chi just closed her eyes, bracing for impact, yet hoping for the best. After a moment of nothing happening, she opened her eyes again, just to see one of the tanks explode. It was the one, that tried to shot her.

"Haha! It works!" She yelled, laughing, feeling the great relief. She kept running, still uncertain of, for how long she'll be able to run like that. She had to get to the tower as fast as possible, yet keeping her eyes peeled for her enemies. If one of these things gets too close to her, she'll try to go around, or even jump over it.

"Well, I might still be able to," Nil says, taking up a ready stance. "But it doesn't exactly seem to be perfect. That last strike didn't poison it like the first, even though I hit the first one's shell. So as soon as these bastards open up, I'll try to poison one, and you two can make sure nobody fires. Or if we're lucky, all three will charge and we won't have to worry about counter attacks."

"Lucky? Then we'd have to run so that we don't get smooshed. I don't know if lucky would be the proper term..." He opened up his skill list again and scrolled through the garbled text. "Still not working... Shame..."
