I'm not deaf, I just can't talk. Zachary flipped the page and scrawled on. "Zach" before ripping off the page. He wrote on the next page, "I'm not deaf." And underneath he wrote, "Investigating why?" He didn't need to ask what, perhaps he should also ask for whom as well, and quickly scrawled on that extra detail so the message read, "Investigating why? For whom?"

Chell stared Seven dead in the eyes. She considered pulling the same move as before, but it would be a waste of bullets. Shooting him point blank was also out of the question, due to scene contamination and, again, waste of bullets. But she could smell bullshit, and God this man smelled like shit. It was clearly a facade, a ruse of some sort, but due to lack of proof she had to be in agreement with him. As much as it disgusted her.

"Apologies accepted, sir." she promptly responded. She quickly spun on her toes and continued her careful wall investigation.

'Apologies accepted, sir.'
Heh.
As expected, that wasn't sincere in the slightest. She was just doing it to get out of the situation. But Seven didn't blame her. After what happened, it'd be difficult to agree with someone wholeheartedly. 'I really am sorry, you know. But sure, if that's all you want to say, then fine, I can't change the way you think. To be perfectly honest, I would've preferred you punch me.' Seven sighed heavily. If he was going to fix whatever the hell was happening, he needed someone that would actually co-operate with him. No matter how kind he tried to be, no one seemed to want to work with him. Would it be easier if he was an asshole to everybody instead, like Chell?

"For whom, huh? ...Same people, that employed that guy there." He pointed his finger up, meaning Stratza. It was a lie, but obviousness of that fact stayed in Karl's head. "And why am i doing this, is for money of course...one has to make for a living...It's simply my job..."

Suddenly his eyes locked with Zach's, as he leaned forward a little bit.

"Now tell me...Zach...What are You, doing in a place like this?" His smile appeared to be a little more malicious, than usually.

The man's story wasn't very believable. Why would some person hire two people for the same job? He was sure the man was lying, but Karl felt dangerous. He scribbled on a piece of paper, "I'm a newsboy, was hoping for a scoop." Fighting a lie with a lie.

Kegin nodded towards the two others and stood, stretching after sitting for so long.
"Come come ill lead the way, its right over here".

He started to go through the park leading the other two. He walked out into the main street lined with houses, and looked back towards the two.
"I must warn you, it's a bit of a unsightly view, i haven't had the chance to clean up since it's happened".

He continued to lead them into the main streets and over into his house. He stopped momentarily and noticed a parked car outside the front of his house.
"Hm, weird i wasn't expecting company".
He came up to his front door and opened it to a sight and sound of people in his house. He stopped dead in his tracks and let out a chuckle looking back at the other two behind him.

"Looks like you two weren't the only ones with the idea to come here".

Vitaliy began to get a bit excited, perhaps a bit too much so. Stepping to the side of the door a few feet to avoid catching the view of those inside, he looked towards Kegin as he calmly unbuttoned the left side of the his overcoat again.

Now leaning against the side of the building, Vitaliy's voice grew darker as he started to speak again, "These folks friends of yours? Cause if they aren't..." Vitaliy's eyes squinted slightly, now intently watching the space in front of the door as his hand danced over the holster for his weapon.

Vitaliy continued, sure to keep his outside appearance seemingly casual to local passerby as he spoke in a hushed voice, "Not sure what laws are set around here... but I read something about intruding on personal property without a license of some sort... Anyways, any reason to be worried?" Not able to help it, he began to smile gleefully under his scarf like a child too excited to wait for Christmas day to play with his new toys.

Seven heard a creaking noise. He definitely heard a creaking noise. He was the only one not doing any investigation(mostly just observing the others), so he noticed. This couldn't be good. It was probably the two people at the bench, and Seven didn't like to think what the widower, the owner of the house, would do once he found a bunch of trespassers. He'd warn the others, but they could take care of themselves. The only one without a weapon...

Seven calmly walked over to Zach and whispered in his lowest voice,'Kid, we've got company. I'd advise you make a run for it.'
He then, extremely un-calmly, ran up the stairs and shot into the kitchen, avoiding any sight from someone who'd be at the front door. He frantically searched for an exit. Because, well, he didn't have a weapon either.

Feeling the aura of combat approaching, Gaius allowed himself a small smile. His shield to the ready, his hand on his sword, he said nothing. He believed that Lead's monologue was enough... He hoped he would finally get answers and, if he was lucky, some action.

Kegin looked to the two individuals behind him and said
"lets see why they are here i have a feeling you two weren't the only ones asking about murders. These guys just some a littler more direct", he chuckles
He nodded toward Gaius and Vitality and said,
"however if we need to bust some heads, lets stay on guard".

Hearing Kegin's explanation, Vitaliy hastily nodded in excitement, still eerily similar to a young child in his reaction. Taking out his Colt revolver and twirling it around his finger for a moment, he blew a silent whistle through his scarf into the cool air of the evening. However, as it simply wouldn't do to have some strangers see a man walk in with a gun, he quickly slid his trusty handgun back into it's holster.

Halfway buttoning up his coat, he kept his weapon out of sight as he readied his right hand next to it casually in a non-suspicious resting position. Using his left hand, he motioned for Gaius to enter the room first, seeing as he would make a better first impression with the whole imposing armored getup without the alarming sight of a gun being wielded.

Tavrin inclined his head slightly, and gave a disdainful snort.

"Let you lead the way? This was my idea, my automobile, and my navigation to this spot. I'll lead the way on my own investigations, thank you. Mind yourself, Zoe...I take commands only as further my purposes. This is not one of those times."

He slapped the door shut and strode around her, cane pumping as rounded the house from where he had parked in an alley, only to see the shadows of two people through one of the open windows. He drew back into the darkness for a moment until he heard the sound of them descending stairs, then leaped up the steps and into the house. Inside was nondescript, but he heard several voices coming from downstairs. Whether they were the murders or not mattered little...he had handled himself enough times to be comfortable walking into danger. He walked jauntily down the stairway into the basement, quickly coming into a small dimly lit room. There was blood and markings on the wall, and several people of various ages and appearances loitering about...some of them rather odd looking people, at that. He took one step away from the bottom of the stairwell and smiled, proceeding to see what use he might have with these people, or if they would only be annoyances.

"Well now, isn't this a merry little cabal? Rather big to-do about one murder...if this is a just a murder...which those signs on the wall are making me doubt. So, have we found anything interesting or important yet?"

Gaius nodded at Lead, trsusting him for the moment, but having his doubts. He, wanting a superior entrance, slowly crept into the room, and crossed the threshhold. Holding his shield before him, he moved closer to the center of the room. With little ado, he exclaimed, "Greetings friends! We mean no harm. I'm guessing that, due to the fact that you are all here, you all wish to look into the murders that occured here. That means, for the moment at least, we have a common goal. I would recommend that we pursue the aforementioned goal in a logical, peaceful manner. Is this agreeable?"

SUDDENLY GOD HIMSELF MOVED THINGS A LONG.

Everyone slowly trickled into the one common location they all knew of, Kegin's home. Everyone also made their way to the basement where introductions were made and words were shared. Several people looked for clues around the area but found nothing specific. They all grouped up around the sacrificial star in the center of the room were the sacrifices no doubt took place.

Suddenly the star began to glow a bright rid and the room itself began to dim. It grew darker, darker, yet darker. Everything around them was completely black. Slowly light returned, and weapons were in front of everyone. Everyone felt strange, as if they were at peak physical condition. Around them, the eldritch markings in the walls were glowing red.

OOC: You're in the dream world now.

Frost began to twirl the whip that was in front of his, chuckling as he went.
"It's been a long while since I've used these... Still great though. What happened?"
He picked up the torch, and examined it with pleasure.
"I feel pretty great."
