Seven suddenly remembered something and saluted the two. 'Thank you for your work in the field, soldiers.' He ran to Klein, grabbed him by the shoulder and said, 'Hey, pyromaniac, someone's hurting, so your skills could come in handy.' He patted him on the back, and indicated him to follow him. He then walked to the man who called himself 'Lead'. Calmly, he said, 'Hey, buddy, you're not doing so great are ya? Need some help?' He then waved Klein over to hurry up and help their injured friend. 'The name's Seven, in case you didn't know.'

Chell slowly got back up on her feet, all her muscles hurting. She helped herself up also by leaning onto the rifle. While doing so she noticed the newly marked runes on it: the 'lightning' one was slowly losing its glow, being now engraved onto the gun. She violently kicked the breech opened, expelling the cartridge and catching it in mid air: it had a particular burn pattern on it. Chell carefully slipped the empty cartridge into one of her pockets and pulled out a handful of new rounds.

"We need shelter." she blankly said as she slotted the rounds into the magazine.

"Bloody..."
Zoe came to alone in the abandoned building she had been thrown into. Sharpnel and other pieces of the wall surrounded her as she lay on the ground amonst blood, hair, and bits of yellow dress.

"When is this supposed to get fun Doktor?"

Vitaliy looked up somewhat grudgingly, "Seven huh? Alrighty den, at least somethin' here is easy to remember. The lady's right, we need to find a safer spot befo' we do anything time consumin'..."

I wonder what form of currency they take for rent around here...

Looking over at a nearby boarded up house, Vitaliy aimed with his revolver sideways in his right hand... then casually fired 3 bullets almost simultaneously lined up to blast the building's door open from the sides. He didn't exactly feel like damaging anything on the inside, so he made sure the door would be blasted outward by lining up the bullets to pierce into the wall slightly before triggering the explosives laid within.

"You all wana' talk indoors?"

Zachary was too busy trying to wipe the blood off his face with the sleeves of his robes as if the fluid was acid to his skin. He combed his fingers through his hair to remove any flesh and then ran his hands in the dirt to clean them from the dust. The stench of the dead was bringing the voices back. They were telling him to sleep, an offer he was tempted to take, but he couldn't, not yet.

He looked up to Chell. "We have to-" He coughed and wrapped his arms around his stomach, he spat out whatever was in his mouth, a cogulation of grime, gore, and saliva. "We have t-" He heaved and blood dribbled out of his mouth as he cluthed his head in pain. His nails dug into his skin, and he coughed out more blood. Zach retracted one of his hands, a few strands of hair clung to the tip of his finger, dyed slightly red with his blood. He pointed up the path. "We need to keep going. They smell it... they will." He stood up shakily and slowly began walking the path.

He mumbled to himself answering the voices, trying to prevent his mind from being drowned by the voices. His eyes danced around and as he kept looking and watching for something, there had to be something, there will be something. Or it could've just all been in his mind as a lance of pain pierced through his head and he collapsed onto his knees then fell onto his face. His eyes flickered as he struggled to stay conscious, but he knew he couldn't ward it off any longer, he was too tired. He fell asleep, lulled by the soothing lullaby of Fhtagn grah'n fhtagn.

Gaius stood in awe as fried bits of the once vicious monster exploded into delicious pieces of calamari. He looked at the shooter, astounded by the skill and the weapon. He walked up to examine the corpse and see if there was anything relevant.

"Woah... ok... magician kid thinks we gotta go... sonic boom wants to go... guess we gotta go." Quickly hobbling over to the young man, Vitaliy lightly propped him up against a nearby tree.

...

Vitaliy looked back at the others, sly grin barely surfacing on his otherwise stoic face as he held both arms out to either side in a clueless gesture, revolvers flipping back to the inside of his coat.

"Welp, I'm not carrying him..."

"Easy there. You did well. We'll hold the lines. For now rest." Chell's voice was uncharacteristically calm, soothing and reassuring as she spoke to Zach. He eventually passed out, hypnotized by his strange chants. She threw her rifle on the back, latches magically wrapping themselves around it and securing the firearm. She bent down, pulling one of Zach's arms around her neck and raising him on his feet. Every single muscle of hers was stinging in pain.

"Indoors. Lead the way." she stated.

The explosion blasted around the door that Vitaliy had blasted, but as the smoke cleared runes glowed across the heavy wood. It would take more than brute force to enter one of these abodes.

Kegin approached the defeated creature. Hitting it with his pick. All the pain he felt inside was amplified by the brutal knowledge that his family was killed so that people could let something like this abomination into the real world. He struck it again and again. His eyes brimming with tears, the miner didn't see one of the tentacles twitch. He didn't notice the flesh reforming itself slowly. By the time he realized what was going on, a mouthed tentacle had already lashed towards him. It gnawed through his chest and protruded from his back before recoiling and gnashing out a large chunk of the man's neck from behind. It ripped the chunk back out and returned to the main body as dozens of mouthed tentacles erupted from the now regenerating sack of meat. All of them descended on Kegin, tearing the widower to bloody pieces.

"Just as I expected."
Frost walked up to the main group and studied the runes.
"Too bad the one who uses runes in our group in unconscious. I believe we might need to dispel the rune or inscribe another to cancel out the first."
"Fortunately, I know absolutely nothing about how to do either of these things."

Vitaliy turned back around, "Well darn, guess we better talk with some reclusive loca-"

Vitaliy froze in both movement and speech when he was suddenly able to see the monster previously thought to be dead bursting out of the miner's chest. A light twitch of his left eyebrow was the only mark of emotion on his otherwise blank face as he stared for about half a second at the horrific sight of what the "thing" was doing to the man's body.

Saying nothing, Vitaliy brought up both revolvers towards the tentacles devouring the man some distance away. Lining up the bullet lines to hit the mouthed tentacles first, normal tentacles second, he unleashed a steady stream of explosive bullets at the clump of demon-spawn still centered on the ripped apart body of Kegin.

Backing up closer to the rest of the group and away from the reforming monstrosity, Vitaliy continued to fire at a rapid pace until he could no longer see any part of the creature. Even then, he kept firing more and more shots into the disgusting mass before him, focusing on each tentacle in the already defined order. Stopping his movement about 40ft away from the regenerating creature, he glanced quickly towards those now adjacent to him, then to his surroundings.

Still unleashing ballistic h#ll on the swarming bundle of tentacles ahead of him, Vitaliy spoke somewhat loudly so all the others in the group could hear him. For some abstract reason, his voice had a somewhat fractured tone to it.

"All of us er' need to find a way out o' this if we don't wan' to die... As in we need to leave NOW! No more talking god d@mmit!"

'Fuck, not again!' Seven screamed, as the widower, the reason they were here, was ripped to shreds by the creature that almost completely seemed to be dead. Seven clenched his teeth in anger at the situation, and grabbed Lead by the shoulder, pulling him away. 'Like you said, we've got to go. Shooting the damn thing won't change anything!' Seven pushed Lead in the direction he was planning to go. 'Hey, you guys, we're going to go to Kegin's house. Keep up!' If they went to Kegin's house, maybe they'd be able to find shelter, or even return to their world. It was the only place they could possibly do anything. Seven waited for everybody to leave before he'd start running. He'd help out anyone who was unable to keep up.

Vitaliy stopped firing for a brief moment when Seven's hand touched his shoulder. Eyes narrowing, Vitaliy kept his eyes on the monster ahead as he spoke with a particularly nasty tone in his voice.

"Buzz off math boy. I don't need you to remind when to run away from a god d@mn pile of carnivorous spaghetti!" Letting himself fall backwards slightly, Vitaliy simply ducked under Seven's arm placed against his shoulder as he passed, both guns still raised towards the creature. He didn't really care what the "idoit" said about shots doing nothing, simply filling the thing with twice as much explosive bullets than it's entire body mass was simply the next best option.

Fingers slamming into the triggers of both revolvers, Vitaliy resumed pounding explosive shells into the pile of tentacles at a ridiculously fast pace. Admittingly, however, he did start to back up with the others, even glancing around for a brief moment to not lose track of his surroundings. During this time, he made absolute certain to keep a good distance of about 50ft away from the slimy pile of murderous sh#t as pumped a wall of metal rimmed explosives into each and every single inch of it's tentacle layout. Stilling moving backwards, he ensured he keep up as best he could with the others, keeping watch on Seven from the corner of his vision to make sure he wouldn't get inadvertently pushed around again.

Lead 'expertly' dodged Seven's shove, and continued shooting. He took the liberty of sighing, before saying, 'If you think shooting it...again, will do any good, go ahead. If you really do think it's a good idea, I'll help you out. I'm not the smartest person there is, and I'm open to...' He didn't bother speaking, as Lead was probably absorbed into the sound of the revolvers. Seven looked to Zach. I don't know what he did, but it seemed to work. Some kind of electricity? Seven thought. Electricity seemed to do the trick, and since Lead seemed to like the idea that taking down the tentacles were the way to go, if they could somehow direct electricity towards them, then maybe it'll get some results. He ran over to Zach. 'Hey, buddy, I know you're tired, but could you do the thing you just did, but on the guy with the accent? It's fine if you can't.' It's really not, but I can't afford to tire this kid out. He seems useful.

Gaius looked back as he heard terrible ripping noises. He saw the miner getting absolutely mauled by the once dead beast. He shouted an expletive in fury, but kept his rage in check. There was no time to mourn or to fight. This thing obviously couldn't be killed physically or magically. The only strategy at this point was to run with the others, even though he though the house was a bad idea...
