Having heard of bits of the conversation, Vitaliy had spent most of the lost time stumbling about, trying to find his balance on one leg. Finally giving up, he had power-crawled over to the fireplace, grabbing the fire iron in one hand as he unbuttoned the top half of his overcoat with the other. Using the metal rod as a temporary walking stick of sorts, he carefully made his way down the stairs.
Nudging Gaius as he passed down into the room, Vitaliy gave him a quick hand signal to block the entrance to the stairs as he passed.
Stepping further into the basement to watch the scene continue to unfold, Vitaliy seemed to grin for just a brief moment before a frown was thrown on his face. Right hand hidden under his overcoat as he used it to hold on to the grip of his revolver, he made sure to distance himself briefly from the surrounding individuals. It didn't take a genius to figure out from what he'd heard so far, combined with the current positions of the three, that Seven was obviously right in practically every regard, despite how much Vitaliy wished he wasn't.
Figuring Seven had "de-sonic'd-boom" covered for the time being, Vitaliy glared at Zoe, hand now fully gripping his hidden revolver. Back against the wall so he wouldn't have to rely on the fire iron for balance, he steadied both feet against the ground in one swift motion. If it wasn't already obvious without saying, he would shoot Zoe, starting with her limbs, if she even twitched too far in the direction of the other two. In fact, if she actually went towards Vitaliy or was crazy enough to move to throw the "godd@m" knife at him, he would shoot her in the head before she even had a chance to utter a word of complaint. Already in stance, he simply waited to see what the knife girl would do.
Could've just shot her right here and now... and I somehow owe that stupid goodie-two-shoes a favor. I hope this little b#tch tests me.
