Question:
At the end of each round, after all the score being revealed, will each participant be given a criticism?
cuz in my opinion, criticisms helps me improving my skills a lot.

Thats the plan yeah! I will be doing them, and we'll see if the other judges will have time for it aswell.

You guys have a lot of nerve to host a sixth version of this competition.
So are the prizes/awards real this time, and not just bait when if someone actually wins you guys just blame the shitty hosting and no one gets anything?
Because BSE v5 was more or less one big scam, it lost almost all credibility in my eyes.
Regardless of what the frontpage says, BSE v5 had a very promising frontpage aswell, but as the rounds continiued some of it got edited out.

So I guess participants are categorized by their animation skill?

BSE has always a fun competition that beginners and experts alike can participate in. The money was more of a supplementary incentive added later. If you're doing it for the money, then yeah, I don't blame you for not wanting to enter for credibility reasons. But for a lot of other people its an opportunity for people to be involved in a competition. Most people here are doing it for fun and/or to show off their skills rather than solely for the prizes.

Oxob also has a good head on his shoulders, so it shouldn't be a problem if he's hosting it this time. The point is that it's for the better that BSE exists rather than not at all, monetary incentive or not.

I remember there being talks about such a thing as a possibility depending on how popular it was by the end, but I'm fairly positive nothing was set in stone. At the end of the day, no one on this forum can guarantee you anything, and this competition isn't designed to have full length animations submitted to it every round. If you're truly displeased and feel like you deserve something out of it j can say that I understand your perspective and agree with the sentiment. However, you have to think more proactively. Most of your work was definitely sponsor worthy material. Have you tried compiling a few of them and having SP sponsor them directly? I would even argue that sponsoring the animations could create more traffic if this current competition is advertised with them. It's the perfect event for new animators.

I'm a little confused, so if bse is doing well for quality parts then you will probably get a prize at the end, is that how its always been?

this is the first 'animation' that I've made. I have always been bad at drawing and turns out i'm pretty bad at this too but i feel like this is a good place to start

p.s. i had to add the second 'dummy' in because i thought i was on the second kick when i was on the first :P

I was not part of hosting the last BSE so I can't really tell what went wrong there. All I know is that Camila was all stressed out becaus she was left with hosting it alone when they were ment to be several guys hosting it together.
All I can say is that I've talked to Stone about the prizes that are currently up on the front page, and we plan on making the overall prize public as soon as possible. If Stickpage wouldnt be able to provide for some reason then I will stand for the overall prize personaly.

No offense, but can we also throw on some more competent judges? Like, I have no intention of joining if everyone is just going to get an 8/10 regardless of quality.

You're judging them before they even started. I don't see how that's competent on your part.
