The flash of steel irritated the beast and it roared, a gluttonous boom like a bass drum being struck. The sound echoed and foliage snapping in the distance could be heard. The hunt was on and more were coming to profit off the possible bounty. The bear smashed the ground, indenting it as he bounded towards the group, the hulking beast seemed to grow before their eyes as it drew closer at a maddening speed, its paws beating the ground sounding like thunder.

Z's eyes widened and he quickly reacted by throwing a ball of fire in front of the beast do distract it as he jumped backward splitting his sword into two one handed swords and stabbed the tree thrusting himself up out of reach of the creature in high enough brahches waiting for a proper opening Z looked down at Nox "why don't you go pet it and let us know if it likes you?!" Z shouted as he settled onto the branch and swatted his hand gesturing everyone to get out of the beasts path

Lilith, rather quietly, was moving behind the group, still munching on her oak's leaf. She was eyeing every member of this gathering, carefully examining them, one by one. It was obvious that they weren't some people, just randomly taken from the streets. All of them were supposed to bring entertainment, meaning that the host of this "event" had to choose them for peculiar reasons. He also mentioned fighting, as a main "attraction" of his show, so even basing just on appearances of these people, they were no strangers to battle. Why was she here then? She left the path of violence long time ago...Or, well, at least she tried to...

Sudden commotion in the front has broke her reverie, and she caught up to see what is happening. There was a giant...gummy bear on the clearing, and if not the fact that it was going straight at them, she'd consider it somewhat cute. However, her wide anatomy knowledge told her that a charge of such big beast would be...devastating least to say, even if it was made out of jello. Smaller creatures made out of her ash, were able to trample people and break their bones...She decided to back off as quickly as possible, and move out of the way, before it'd be too late.

Walter meanwhile was nowhere to be found.

Dino suddenly halted his march a couple of steps behind the main group. In front of them a massive bear was rushing towards their position. But there was something odd about the creature: it looked like made of jelly. With cigarette between his lips, Dino pulled out his Anaconda and fired 3 bullets in rapid succession, all of them whizzing by the party members and hitting the bear right between his wiggly eyes. But obviously, no effect. The projectiles could be seen sinking inside the red sticky matter. His rigid stance immediately broke as an expression of confusion grew on his face.

"Is that a massive jello bear running this way?" The question was obviously sarcastic, so Dino did not await an answer. What he did instead, was simply turn and walk off the road, towards the pine trees. The way he did it was awfully calm and composed. While making his way offroad, he opened the barrel of the Anaconda and expelled the bullets, slotting in 3 new rounds plus the 2 that he didn't fire. With a quick flick he snapped the barrel back into position.

When he reached a decent amount of cover Dino stopped and took off his cross off his shoulder. After planting it in the ground, he leaned onto it, supporting his head with his left arm and spinning his revolver in the other.
"Question of the hour: how do you kill something made of jelly?" he stated at a rather high tone, cigarette hanging from his mouth.

The flames sputtered and spat on the ground, melting through and creating a hole of melted and burnt sugar as the ground underneath the licorice grass was also made of candy. The bear noticed the intrusion and leapt over, landing in front of the remaining group. It stared at them as they stared at it, three bullets could be seen in the beast's head, frozen in the gelatin. The bear stood up as a show of power and dominance, it roared again and crashed down on the ones closest to it, Nocturn and John.

John reacted quick, summoning a barrier orb that started the size of a Marble and grew with in seconds to about the size of an average living room
"This should keep us safe for a bit" he said,
as he extended his morning star and took a swing at the bear

The paladin swung like a dunce, hitting nothing but air due to the large orb shoving the bear back. The bear scratched at the black barrier, looking for a crack or rivet to exploit but the orb was smooth as glass and unblemished. So it decided to move to plan B when it came to smashing a container, and began to climb. Using its paws as suction cups, it pressed down deepily and slowly began pulling itself to the top of the orb, where as if trying to crack open a burrow, it would hop up and smash down onto the orb as many times as it must.

As this bear started to climb, another came out into the clearing. It was slightly smaller but it still boasted a powerful size and frame. Leaving the orb to the other bear it began sniffing out for the others, like Nox and Grant who still were standing on the path.

Grant had done nothing, instead opting to see the combat "prowess" of the others. Needless to say, he was not impressed. Seeing the second bear approaching Grant decided to put on a show and let these fools see true power. Channeling all of his telekinetic energy, Grant shoved his right hand forward towards the smaller bear, letting loose a massive force. In his world metal would be crushed and trees would be shattered by such an attack.

Let's see how a gummy bear fairs against me.

"Oh gawd, it's attacking!" Nox said with an apparently frightened yelp. He was running out of options. He decided to covertly throw a dart as he ran (in zigzags, not like in Prometheus). He dipped his dart into the paralysis poison and tossed it towards the bear's front left paw with a flick of the wrist.

Due to their jelly-like properties, the beasts were immune to any blunt attack or projectiles, even of a magical attack. However the sheer power of Grant's assault was like colliding with an oncoming train and the gummy bear, though it absorbed the attack, was sent flying. Soaring off into the sky and into the forest, it smashed and splattered itself on the ground, unable to withstand the shock. It wasn't dead, as the ooze slowly began rising up to reform itself, but it won't be bothering the group again.

The two inside the orb could do nothing as the bear climbed up. The orb that was made to protect them was now a cage they were trapped in. The bear settled before positioning itself then hopping, diving down on its front paws. It smashed into the orb, cracks spidered across the top as the orb struggled to absorb the sheer inertia of the beast. It clawed at the cracks and a few small pieces fell through but it couldn't pry the orb open, so it readied itself for another pounce.

John took a swung at the air
and, boy, did he feel like a real idiot.
"Guess I haven't gotten used to using that" he mumbled to himself
He then noticed the bear had climbed on top of his barrier and started jumping on it
Damn he's fat John thought to himself
Getting his priorities strait, he had an idea
"Nocturn, you might want to move" John yelled
He waited till the bear had just began it's jump and was in the air
He then started running, and dispelled the barrier right before the bear hit it

Z watched as the bear was clearly distracted with cracking the orb and the other being crushed into a ball. Z had then lunged from the tree prepared to land atop the bear and drive his sword through it's neck he activated the flame propulsion of his sword to send himself down with as much speed as possible.

Seeing a bear distracted with the orb, Lilith decided to strike. Cloud of dust began to swirl around her right arm, and after a mere second, her weapon of choice has appeared. It looked pretty much like a human spinal cord, except much longer and slightly thicker. Tailbone was flattened, and now really resembled of a blade. Whole creation was loosely wrapped around woman's arm, but not really touching her, floating a centimeter or two away from her sleeve.

Another funny anatomy fact; most of the creatures tend to die after their head is damaged enough. That was exactly what Lilith planned on doing. Extending her arm in front of herself, she aimed for the brains of the creature. The very next second, the spine's blade was shot forward, getting stuck in bear's noggin. Just as it happened with the bullets before, it had no effect...yet. The blade inside twitched, transforming, or rather exploding into about seven black spikes, impaling the head from the inside. The spikes were still connected to the spine at their base.

With her "anchor" created, Lilith pulled the spinal cord back, using both her physical, and supernatural power. She expected two things to happen hopefully; Either to shred the head to pieces, or dismantle it from the body. There was also an option that she will simply pull the bear off the sphere, which was not so beneficial for her.

The bear felt two things at the same time, a fly land on its back and something lodging itself in its head. However as Lilth pulled, the bear went off its own instincts and decided to deal with whatever landed on its back with a simple action, it rolled.

Its head stretched but instead of pulling the head off, the tail bone snapped off. What Lilith's knowledge didn't cover was the fact that the gummy bear's insides had no organs or structure. There was actually no anatomic reason these things should exist. So instead of organs, bones, and muscles, the bear's insides is just a giant stomach. Digestive enzymes that began breaking down anything that enters the monster's body, except for metallic things, like Z's sword and Daniel's bullets. But this weapon made of carbon was attacked immediately, the joints weakened and broken down. So now Lilith only had a spinal cord in her hands as the bear rolled down the barrier with Z still on its back. It laid itself on the floor, smothering Z with its sheer weight of 1000 lbs. The man would die if not from suffocation, by all his bones breaking and he could already feel his ribs groaning.

Seeing the turn of events, in an attempt to save Z, John ran next to the bear and summoned his barrier again. He mentally allowed Z (and his sword) to pass through, and prevented the bear from doing so aswell, effectively shoving the bear off Z.
