I'm IceKewl, pretty much new here but, I guess It's a good idea to post this one lazy (very short) anim I just haf. Since I'm like looking for someone to like, give me some advice, etc.
Hey just new here and I lack experience in this kind of social networking site (17 years old -_-)
This is my animation http://mmxz-legends.deviantart.com/art/Fight-431011682
and please check out my RHG page it kinda ummmm how do I put this....
Ye, I know that there's some wobblybobbly mufments but, ahhh I'm too lazy to fix.
Woah, you triple frame like hell in before the first hit. Well, it's not bad as it promotes your own way of animating. Anyway, when it comes to really short animations, I suggest taking out those unnecessary things which covers the viewers focus and on your case, it would be those ridiculously big bright red colored texts saying "Miss", "Hit" and "Solid Hit" in succession. Try to put those things to a minimum at most if they're not needed to be there. You may put them but either do it in a way where it isn't covering or distracting enough to distract the viewers attention elsewhere or you do it in a way where it's there but it isn't flashy(Mind you that Red is very flashy and it is mostly accompanied by the thought/symbol "Warning" and "Danger", so color psychology works in animation too).
Now moving on to your experience. I can see you've at least gotten at least a scratch on the surface but you really need to work on making your characters "believable", note I didn't use the term "realistic", I find this term really stupid for an animation where your imagination runs wild and becomes reality. So saying "Realistic" is bad and wrong, don't you prefer "Believable" as it promotes something that's not real but it can be believed to be real. This works with logic and all that. Example of logic is if this stickfigure from scene 1 is in Point A and he moves to Point B and in scene 2 he's in point C, now THAT doesn't make any sense and would render your work "Unbelievable" at the least.
The verdict? I recommend you work on the basics of animation. I suggest animating a piece of ball(Let it roll, let it bounce, throw it, let it hit another ball, let it go upwards with an unknown force and bounce down, let it resize, let it change shape a bit, the possibilities are endless). Is it boring? Depends on you. The imagination of the animator is very important. You don't want to grow up animating bland things right? Time to face that animation cannot be rushed and you have to take your time and LOVE every frame you make. Saying "I'm too lazy" is one of the worst things an animator can say. It promotes the lack of spirit in it, it promotes the lack of love you should be giving it and it certainly lacks your motivation to finish your work. I wish you luck in your future works if you continue to pursue animation! On the bright side, you're average.

Im a noob :/
If you want to save yourself the trouble of uploading short animations on youtube, you can always try this method:
1.) Go to www.fileize.com
2.) Register there so the files you uploaded can be saved
3.) Upload your file
4.) Wait for it to finish uploading
5.) Copy the link of the uploaded file and post it here
6.) Done.
So, as for your animation. . .Just wow. I wasn't expecting that background to suddenly change into that, I see what you were trying to do though and I applaud your effort BUT you have a lot more to go and experience before getting into that complicated stuff. Seeing as how your stickfigures aren't shaped properly, I suggest you try and doodle on your free time. Doodling not only keeps your imagination running but it also trains your fingers and eyes to draw and see your work properly. Once you get the habit of doodling in your notebook, try doodling in Flash so you can get the hang of the feel of your mouse/tablet pen and get used to it. This process will probably take months but if you wanna get better, you have to work step by step and work with passion and ALWAYS be optimistic.
The thing with animators is, they have this bad habit of checking their product(CTRL + Enter) every once in a while and get demotivated by how bad it looks. I must tell you now that if the work you're doing is unfinished(Say a punch), it mostly looks bad because it isn't finished. Makes sense right? Of course, when starting out, things don't go as you imagined it to be but that's how learning works. That's how these things come to you. Animation isn't something you can study and learn directly, animation is more on the hands-on side. You research, then you practice what you researched, then you learn. That's how most animators reach higher and higher.
So, in the end, try practicing doodling if you haven't yet and if you have, try practicing doodling in Flash. Once you're getting the hang of it, try making a simple animation. Stickfigures are the most simple and most basic form of animation but do note it also takes time to master them. So start with balls or squares or any objects and play around with the tools if you're still unfamiliar. Get used to the shortcuts(It's mighty helpful) and get used to the interface so the next time you animate, you'll feel fresh and better. Keep animating man.
As for the two of you, I can't load your animations not because it's corrupted or 404'd but because my internet just sucks. I can't even load Google and I have a download AND upload speed of 660 BYTES per second. Yeah, you read that right. BYTES per second. That's horrible. Sorry but I guess I'll be C&C'ing those who get lucky enough to load in my screen.
That's it for me. Hoya, hit me up with a PM or VM once in a while. Ciao!
Some of the movements looked pretty nice. I think the main problem is that this animation doesn't have much flow. http://forums.stickpage.com/showthread.php?32287-Flow-Everything-You-Need-To-Know This is Zed's tutorial on flow.See, though some invidual movements were ok, the whole anim didn't look fluid because there were breaks in the momentum, it wasn't constant.
Read Zed's tutorial, practice physics (bouncing ball, rolling ball, etc.) and individual movements, and then animate movements together, i.e. combos and such, not fight scenes yet.
Not bad. the fire effects were cool, although they might look nicer with some yellow highlights. For the movements, the running was pretty good, but I'm not sure why the blue stick was floating in the middle of the anim. If you intended that, it's fine. If you didn't, make sure each running step includes at least one frame where the foward foot is touching the ground. Keep practicing, and practice basics.
