Personally I feel the arm could use a little bit of smoothing out towards the top, and the rope needs a bit more gravity on it during the swing, but any other cnc would be nice.

When he pulled the rope up, it wasnt fast enough to make the rope do that.. and im guessing thats probably an elastic rope?
because how it flicked looked weird and odd for a normal rope

As for the first part, yeah, it was one of my original gripes about it. I guess I could get some speed by easing a little more quickly?

For the second, I was watching some people swing some bullwhips to try to figure out the motion. Generally it seems that once it hits the end of its trajectory (once it snaps), there's still energy transfer so you get some wave motion throughout the rope, and it pulls it back a bit.

Though I think I overexaggerated this motion a bit. It probably should've snapped back a little less.

Alright, so I did another one coming from a different direction to get some experience at the side. I also worked on the ending a little bit so it doesn't spaz out.

Things I noticed:

I think I pulled the rope into full-on swing a frame too quickly.

I forgot to put guides in so I have a different ground at the beginning and the end, the arm moved a few pixels to the right, and I think the rope might be a smidge shorter than when it started.

Thoughts?

Just make it snappier like he's really snapping the rope.

Been a while since I last made an animation...Just wanted to post it here instead of creating a thread, I suppose.

Just some kind of running test

To me, it seemed that it had too many in-between frames and maybe should've removed them. But, I want to hear your tips/critiques on this.

Ball Ease test

Nothing hard, just wanted to check if I could do proper easing.

Man, if anyone would have ever told me animating some dude yawning would tire me out, I'd have called him a bad joker and a lier. x'D

its like he's lagging lol, but there isnt much to CnC since its just a yawn...
its nice tho but the body is smaller than the head which bothers me

Easing is something that makes it more realistic. (also known as the principle slow in, slow out).
By force I think he means the hits don't seem to feel powerful. (tho i may be wrong on this.)

I see the problem. xD I wanted to render this shaking there is some times when you stretch out real hard. Guess I exagerated it! (plus, now that I see it again, the second shacking dosn't seem natural at all...).
I hope I'll soon have fight animations to show you; I did this yawn animation first in order to work on my easing and visualization.
