Just to let you know, you can get round heads by holding shift while drawing a circle :<

I know, but I almost never draw them quite the right size. usually it's smaller than I want, so I have to increase the size to what I want-and it ends up flattening the head a bit.

Maybe you could give him time to land after the kick, ease it a bit while hes in the air, and have him crouch slightly to lead up to the jump. still, not bad for an early attempt

put some more on it, actually getting to the fighting, not just testing the bg drawing. Yes, I rounded the heads more once it got going, if anyone is going to start complaining about that again.
C&c would be nice.
I know, I need to exaggerate the swings a bit more. forgot how much would be needed, considering I did it at 200x zoom.

Okay, bomb. truthfully, your animation sucks... don't try and do all the advanced stuff before you get really good at the basics, your stickfigures look terrible try doing little frame by frame tests or expiriments and get cc from those because the animations you are doing now are very boring and poorly executed

I would, except no one gives any c&c at all when I do. Also, the entire thing was done frame by frame. And is it POSSIBLE for a stick figure, being a stick figure, to look any better or worse than any other stick figure?it has two arms, two legs, elbows and knees, a head, a body. alright, he could have fists and feet, but other than that, is it really possible?
edit: also, could you give any examples, so I actually know what to fix so I can actually improve? I thought that was the whole point of c&c-pointing out whats wrong so people can improve.
The underlined text is just important things that no-one ever seems to take into consideration.

Well bomb i can give you hints.
just make your sticks better it would be more entertaining and better to watch. right now it seems ur doing with the line tools
1. hold shit make a round head, if its to big or to small then select all of it and resize it. after you do that hit f8 and convert it to a movie clip for easier acsess
2.then for the body, since ur useing line tools make the lines bigger there verry small. make the line about 1/3 of the head or 1 1/2 of the head. and then place the head on the body.
3.dont move to fast as it makes it look chopy, start off with simple stuff and work your way up to harder things
and keep trying out sticks till they look normal, look at some fighting videos and look at there stick, (but dont copy make it a lil diffrent) and be original
thats all

So. first, I'm already doing that, I just had to resize it so it ended up flattened. I already over went that, in a recent post here, probably last page.
second, you are now saying that line thickness is important. is there a reason for that? I've never known one, but If someone will actually give me a good reason I'll get right on that.
Third, you say NOT to move much? It looks choppy if you MOVE more than a little? So, I shouldn't be using 8 frames, that use minuscule amounts of movement each, for a leg to swing over in front of the other, and instead should be using almost no frames and moving less?
If I misinterpreted what you said, please correct me, but this is how it looks to me.

if you reread my message you can see i fixed it it was a typeo. and yes line thickness IS important because if you use the super skinny lines like you do it looks like shit
