some new punch i made from a tut, comments? (apart from the fact that the back needs to bend more and the fact he's in mid air lol)

on your walking make them arms look like they are crossing more and needs alot more easing, legs look a bit stiff and look like you put the knee crossing the foot for 2 frames, just try and move every joint in the animation (i've been told thats 100's of times :heh:)

It's pretty good, but you need to watch the foot placement - they're all over the place.
We need to start moving people out of the beginners section. It's getting crowded. About 6 pages of posts since I last logged in.

have i gotten better at easing and movements?

The easing and movements in that one are good. Whether or not you've improved depends on how closely you followed the tutorial for it. Using tutorials is a good way to learn new stuff, but the only way to see whether you're capable of using it is to try again afterwards without looking at anything.

How do you Ease
May 30, 2009 4:55 PM #428375
I'll handle this one. Had the tut saved from last time.
Easing
Easing is acceleration and deceleration. In pivot this involves moving something very little in the first frame, a bit more in the second, even more in the third, etc.
Zyles’ example of easing (thanks):

And my representation:
Eased:

Yep, that's easing. Now all you need to do is apply it to your animations. Remember, almost every movement you will ever do must be eased - the only real exceptions are when things hit the floor or a wall, and those should either bounce or absorb the shock.

Here are some stuff you're doing wrong:
1. (it isn't a must but for animations to look good its good to have this) Your Ball should travel in a straight line, this applies with sticks but in the sense that your stick person shouldn't move up and down while he's walking, you don't do that when walk in real life do you? you just stay on the floor because of gravity.
2. Easing is more like this |||-|-|--|----|------|----|--|-|-|||
You've done this : ||-|--|----|-----|----|--|-||
This may seem tiring to do all these frames to make it smooth but trust me it's worth it, you think the pros at the top just do 5 clicks and they get completely smooth punch combo or something? You've just gotta try
