Quote from LakEI thought that, instead of us traveling, the world would simply turn and we would be moved across it. But our mind would trick us into thinking we were walking.
I felt so clever thinking of that as a kid.
I didn't understand how timezones work and I thought that if you traveled in the opposite direction that the Earth is spinning faster than the Earth actually spins, then you would go back in time.

I saw the movie "The Thing" at a young age, and it fucking haunted my child hood. Since I was younger, I just thought it got inside your stomach or some shit.
So..when I played certain levels on Legend of Zelda: OOT, the music and the wind would somehow remind me of The Thing, and my stomach would get upset. I would sit there, scared shitless that an alien had infected me or some shit, and was going to bust out of me.
ALSO OH SHIT, in my bathroom, there was a vent on the ceiling, and it was sort of dusty and icky up there. And I would see shit that looked like the legs of the dude's head from the movie. And the whole time I was taking a bath, I was scared that it was going to drop on me.
The movie "Princess Mononoke" also provided a few spooks. I had the constant fear that a huge demon boar would bust through my house and kick my ass.
