Try putting a ping-pong ball in a cup. Tip the cup upside down, and back up again real quick. The ball barely moves. The cups were spinning so fast that nothing came out. And she didn't exactly catch me, I landed on her.

Or the baby was holding on to her shoulder (like being burped), and she was supporting it with her forearm. Quite possible, really.
