I understand your complaint, that I should have just kept my mouth shut so that everyone could have enjoyed the fun, but considering that there were people who were actually experiencing real anger, and considering that I was sympathetic toward that, I wouldn't have just played along. Now, if you had seen my post, deleted it, and PM'd me about it, then I would have gladly played along, laughing at the prank and everyone's reaction.

There's a difference between knowing it's a prank and being in on the prank.


And before anyone points out the apparent double standard of me not enjoying the anger when i'm not in on it and enjoying the anger when I am in on it, note that despite my apparent certainty, my "it's just a joke, everyone" posts were designed to give off a false sense of certainty to make myself look better when the joke was revealed. I really wasn't 100% certain, and couldn't have been. Given the very real possibility that this was authentic and not a joke, my posts would have been seen as "being in denial of the truth". If this joke was actually a real motion, then the anger an negative feelings of negativity would be somewhat justified, but if I know that it's just a joke with 100% certainty as I would have if some mod had given me the info, then their anger would be unjustified and in that case, funny.

The fact that you had to come back today and flaunt your knowledge just makes you look like a jackass. "HEY EVERYONE I'M ASH AND I KNOW EVERYTHING. THIS DIDNT FOOL ME FOR A SECOND SO WHY DONT I ANNOUNCE THIS!".

And you have to understand that I would've deleted your post if I was on all day and had seen it right off the bat. I'm not going to delete a post after everyone's seen it.
