True, but there are those of us who usually don't post there anyway (Me included). I'm not sure why I don't post there more, I just don't know what I'd say, and last time I posted there (well, a while back anyway) I felt like an idiot for posting what I did. But that was back in early '08. so whatever.

I doubt anybody would even use it after the first few weeks. The allfordmustangs forum has one, and theres never anybody on it. And that forum has alot more traffic then this one. But at least it would be there incase it was needed for something.

It would be really handy anyway. I've noticed that some people don't have msn, or steam. And when it comes to IMing and stuff, those are usually used. So if you needed to talk to someone who had access to those but you don't, there's the chat.

weve tried an irc on this forum and it sucked. no one was ever on and it died twice or 3 times. It was inactive as ****. Unless it's put onto stickpage.com's front page it wont get any attention.

I think this would be pretty swell.

It's dead, though, because while in theory it was a good idea no one really could be bothered...

The chat room could acted like a improved version of a forum its self. like maybe people will be more active, cause they see more opportunitys to ask questions and answer or just random chat. it'll be like soemthing to do if your bored or something, Maybe games can be played >.>

ANOTHER EDIT: The chat room can act as a tutorial room or somethingat times. Like for example, where just in the tutorial section or the post your thing here, and a pro is like hey go to the chat room thing and ill help you blah blah blah, so the pro and noob is sharig links with each other, noob learns faster and pro is going easy with it cause its fast.
At a cost of no downloading. a chat thing thats less known compared to yahoo IM or msn IM..

Dunno, I think that the chat thing would be a lot more active if the link to it was on the Forum Index, and not by downloading IRC and connecting to quakenet and then SPP.

IRC was fine... It even had its own retard filter (which was that it was difficult to understand how to use). Except after people realized that it wasn't needed or useful in any way people stopped bothering with it.

The same thing will happen here, except before that it will be flooded with noobs asking everyone to be their friends. And no, a post count restriction won't help because the administrators aren't going to put a post count restriction because they never do that on the principle that post counts are theoretically meaningless.

1. You already have the Chat thread.
2. If you're too lazy to DL IRC and want to chat, then that's your problem.
3. Even people will higher post counts can be douchebags. Yes, be prepared for lots of dumb pointless spam in that chat box.
