One of the main problems with our IRC-channel, is that people leave immediately after joining if no one interesting is on. It's completely retarded. If you just leave the client running in the background, someone interesting is bound to join eventually.

I think it's a decent idea,

I never connect with IRC as it is dead.
If there was something linked directly from the forum index, maybe then it would make it easier, I'm not sure.
100 post count rule seems fair.
And if moderators here don't want to be bothered,
make a group of moderators designated for the Chat room,
they can have red names for all I care.

Again, allow me to basically state that a chatbox WILL not cause lag. We are in 2010 not 2001. I also stated that we should have a 150 post few and chatbox mods.

Would that be actually possible? To make that post restriction?

I can see why the irc failed already. Pretty much why would anyone want to download something that's not even widely used by people. Pretty much why would you want irc if there's yahoo IM or something. with the chat box, shout box, what ever it is, any body that logs in should automatically be on the chat box with no downloading. and if no one whats to see " pivoteers" then make 3 separate box for each. One box in each "post your anim here". And/or some sort of classification script that separates from pivot easytoon and flash, or both. yup :D

one chatroom, public voteban system. if at least 50% vote to ban the user, he gets punted out of chatroom.
